He's been called up to Norfolk of the AHL for at least this weekend. They have three games. That means the Komets are at 20 active players on the roster and do not necessarily have to make a move.

Jarome Iginla will never win the Lady Byng./I think the K's will have a lot of turn-over with players this year.
Wow, thank you Wendy. I certainly know what the Lady Byng trophy is. That was a very nice compliment you paid me and I appreciate it. I'm not sure what the old IHL equivalent trophy was called but I do remember that Len Thornson used to win it quite often. Again thanks........and to Dschebig, I've got a pretty thick skin and, believe me, I didn't take Burgee's comment personally. I know he was just having fun. I enjoy reading Burgee's comments. He seems like someone that would be fun to drink a beer with. Sometimes when I post and give an opinion I don't stop with just the opinion, but the reasons why I am thinking in that direction. It gives others the chance to "chime in" and I get the pleasure of reading other opinions and then weigh them against my thoughts. Many times I find that I learn so much more by being able to contemplate another point of view. I just wanted to make sure that if I am found boring that the reader should just "skip" over my posts. Nothing more than that! By the way, does Burgee have some kind of inside information on his thought regarding another Komet being sent to Norfolk? I have to admit that I hadn't thought of that but it is really intriguing.....Hey Wendy, again THANK YOU.
Alan--It's not going to happen. Blogger may hate your guts but they will read what you post. I take that as a compliment and so should you!
Burgee-Have we forgotten our connection to Evansville? Why might we not send a player there? I am not thinking of any certain player. Just suggesting the possibility. At least he would only be a few hours away and still belong to us.
Schebigs my mole. looks like we have a couple outlets once you throw evansville in there! i'll drink a foo foo with you alan, i don't like beer.
Burgee, I'll buy the first round.
I'm easy to spot, I'm the big fella with Burgee on the back and 60 for the number
"Blogger may hate your guts but they will read what you post..."
Ha. That's what you think. I used to post on a message board that had a "bozo" feature. That is, if you didn't like someone, you could label them a "bozo" and all their posts would be invisible to you. Of course, the surest way to get bozoed by at least a dozen people was to ask something about how the site worked. Of course, if you figured out that you had been bozoed by someone, you could watch for that person's posts and make snide little replies about farm animals and such. :D
Blog Foul - Wendy, there are no clowns in hockey! Sit by Schebig and feel shame.
That's rich, Burgee saying there are no clowns in hockey. YOU SHOULD FEEL SHAME! And what would Mrs. Schebig say?
It is not as easy as just sending someone to Evansville and they would be "Komet Property".....there is not an exclusive agreement between teams and leagues. If a player was "sent" to Evansville, first the player would have to clear IHL waivers and that means any team in the IHL could claim that player....if they clear waivers, then that player could sign with Evnasville, but that doesn't mean he is exclusive to Fort Wayne.....any player on Evansville's roster is fair game to any team in any league that would be above that league....meaning that player could go to another "AA" or "AAA" team at anytime without the Komets being able to stop that transaction.
If this is not fact, then something has changed recently between the preseason and now......because this is how the GM of the Evansville IceMan described the process, as did the Frankes.
The affiliation thing isn't real solid at this stage of the game....meaning....it has no real meaning, at least it would seem.
Hit- You may be correct. I do not have the first hand knowledge of the agreements between the teams. I was pimping Burgee. What you report makes very sound sense.
Thanks!
Blake- Am I the point of the wise crack? My wife already thinks I am a joke. After 33 years she knows I am not a clown.
No, as always, Burgee was the point. I was wondering what Mrs. Schebig would say about him making Wendy sit next to you.
I'll bet when you were wooing Mrs. Schebig, you did it by singing didn't you?
Blog Bonus around the corner, keep them posts coming. Blog Foul on Sebring, just because.
R2....B2.......Komets game coming on soon!!! Go Komets.....O'Connor gets 2 goals tonight!!!!
Blake--The Mrs is real secure because I know what she would do to me if I wasn't minding my P's & Q's. Besides I am to old to play those silly games. I have already had the pleasure of meeting Wendy and I am way to old for her. I have children older than Wendy. I will tell you this my dog loves her treats. He will rip them right out of your hand. Oh! yes I did sing to her for our 25th anniversary. It was with a Barbershop Quartet, The Backyard BBQ Guys from 21 Alive. She cried like a baby! It was just a perfect evening!!
Awwww. Too old for me? Now I'm heartbroken. But it sounds like Mrs. Schebig is a really lucky lady. :)
There are so clowns in hockey....Jeff Zehr, Sean Avery, just to name to at a couple different levels....LOL
