They seriously need to consider cutting back this schedule. Are you still confident the Komets are going to win the regular-season title? Do you care or is it playoff championship or nothing for you?

Austin Collie Baby!!!
JR.....the 2 pointer makes no difference in that situation. It might have been worse of they had tried it and not got it, then momentum is lost and the extra point is lost. Plus, it is now 27-17 and the 2 pointer would have meant nothing.
What about that big mean green running machine??? I heard all week that the Colts couldn't stop the Jets running game. Mr. Cowher was sold on it pre-game. UH, you stay in the booth and keep turning down coaching jobs, and keep that chin up Bill. LOL
Ok, I based my comment on how the game was going at that point in the first half... At that time, IMO it did make sense, and I didnt go nuts about it, just said it was curious...thats all. They scored with what 1:30 to go in the first half...what momentum would they have lost??? Basing how things are going in the second half right now to argue a comment I made in the first half is silly... Nobody knew how the second half was gonna shape up at that point in the first half, unless you have some divine insight as to how this game is gonna turn out.......
This game has proved one other thing to me so far. Revis is only one man.....he can't cover 5 guys. All the interviews and love anyone and everyone gives him, isn't enough to stop the Colts and Peyton.
Anyway, it doesnt matter at this point, the Colts are up by ten and all is good in Colt land......
Agreed Hit, of course it did help that 2 Jets secondary players got hurt..... Things opened up alot at that point...
Colts have more rushing yards at this point. And will hold the Jets to less than 100 this game. That is the key.
I would say the Colts have some key secondary inuries too.
Powers, Sanders, Jackson, Bullitt and Bethea are both playing hurt........Everyone is hurt this time of year.
Manning just takes apart defenses. I saw "Super Fan" in the box with Bill Poulin. Must have been the guy was bald and had a note pad.
SuperFan is on the bandwagon.
Konstantin Stover will be the oldest player to ever play in a superbowl.
Game Over.......
Colts going to SB and Miami
Super Fan is trying to figure out what to do with the royalties from his book. Season Tickets to the Colts would be nice. If he could use them I know a whole bunch of bloggers who would.
Should have been couldn't, shouldn't or will not. As long as we end up with them.
Hey, Anyone know how the Bears did today?
Hey, thanks for the info on the plus/minus, everyone....Hit, I see your point on the usefulness (or not) of it. I was actually asking for my kid, but since it will be around his entire career, it's a valid point nonetheless. It does make a huge difference who his linemates are. And since my son is a good solid defenseman himself who does a great job keeping the puck inside the blueline, has knocked in a few rebound goals, passed it up, etc, I'd say he does contribute to the score, even if he does not (always) get a direct assist on the goal. But you made a great point. There are some people on every team who get credit for just being a body on the ice. Sometimes you get credit for being in the right place at the right time, I guess. He did get to play at forward yesterday and had a few good shots on goal, so I'm hoping he gets to shine as a forward and prove his two-way potential, so he'll have other stats to show later on as well, so it won't be quite as important. Thanks for the help, and the thought to kick around. Always intelligent. I really wish you'd reconsider doing an interview....yours would be one I would not miss. :)
I think the Bears caught some fish.
We'll see said the zen master........
I've always had a hard time trying to figure out how Viagra works through or around the tubs. Must be really good stuff.
Actually, SuperFan watched about half the game with a friend and then turned on Inglorius Basterds.
Must have turned it off after you knew the Jets were going to lose.
I am lost on the Viagra statement.....hmmmm.
The Viagra talk must come from the talk about all the "Red Heads" the other night.
Yeah, a little out of context. LOL.
It came from the "Syroczynski feature" post. That's what you get for replying on a different thread from the original comment.
Are they going to sell the "jungle" jerseys?/I have Colts superbowl jerseys/4 days till Woods
TheBoysMom: Are you saying the red heads need help stimulating the old guys on here? Sorry ladies, but brunettes are the only way to fly... (Hahaha, can't wait to see the firestorm after this one, no pun intended.)
If you can win both, it is a great year. But we all have seen different teams in different sports dominate the regular season and get blown out first round of the playoffs. Sometimes you play too hard to win the home ice advanatage. Then someone blows out a knee or a goalie gets nicked and you lose the momentum.
The same thing applies to the length of the regular season schedule. The longer it is the more the percentages go against a team being totally healthy for the playoffs. It is true it is the same for all teams except perhaps if you bring average team age into account.
What we have witnessed in Fort Wayne since I have been following them is a build up of momentum through the regular season. After some relatively slow starts the team seems to start building steam for the play off run. If that is enough to win the league fine but at least they have been hitting on all cylinders at play off time.
Congrats to the Colts. Feel a little for Brett, he should have ran it the 10 yds. I don't think NO can handle the Colt's offense.
i think the ihl schedule is ok the way it is we just need a couple more teams to be in the league. making the playoffs and being competitive is all one can really ask or hope for. i doont mind losing at home when the boys put in an effort but when it looks like they are going thru the motions then ill scream and boo and yell and ect. i look back on a year and deem it successfull not based on championships but whether or not i had an enjoyable time and had lots of fun! thats the way i coached baseball. show up listen and learn, have fun while you play and be better at the end of the season than you were when you started.
Chuckitt I totally agree with the "more teams in the league" statement. Fort Wayne has such a loyal fan base it would be great if a few more teams could be added to make sure it continues.
We have all commented before on the effort aspect of the team. I admit I don't see every game, but this week not withstanding, it can be a very demanding schedule. I know from experience. Some nights your legs feel like you are skating on frozen milk. Not making an excuse just an observation.
They need more weekday games and an even amount of teams, IMO. I know the weekday games arent popular because they dont get the big crowds; but it would help some of these 3 in 3 situations...
management would never trade a fri sat for a tues or wed.
