Forgive me, everyone. I want to change the subject for a moment.
As I read, ponder everything, and clearly am disappointed and confused, it's time to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
2013 has been many things to me personally. My eyesight is back and because of that fact, and certainly the health and well being of my family, I find each day a day to be thankful and appreciative.
Nothing, not anything can prevent me from remembering where I was ( even just last season) and where I am today. (Those who know me will understand my meaning).
I'm appreciative of those fans who call me by phone ( you know who you are) to talk Komet hockey. Those talks are always enjoyable and have been pretty interesting lately with all the goings on.
Winston Churchill once described the Soviet Union as "a riddle wrapped in an enigma". Darned if I can't come up with anything better than that to describe the Fort Wayne Komets of today.
All of us who post here, whether we are in agreement or not, basically want the best for our Fort Wayne Komets. I am pretty clear of my stances ( if you read regularly, you already know that). I appreciate those who agree, but I also appreciate those opposite views, as I believe one cannot learn unless willing to listen and test what you believe against opposing views.
I appreciate the blog, where so many express their views (regardless of what the radio announcer says).
So, Happy New Year everyone!! Make it a safe one. Use some common sense but have fun, also.
P.S. As a lifelong Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Fort Wayne Komets fan, 2013 certainly turned into a weird year with the Bengals being the highlight. Wow!! LOL

Reading's Louie Caporusso just got put on team suspension. I"m hearing he might be headed to the CHL, too.

Alan, thanks for those great words. Your reflections speak for almost all of us. Yes, we all have a love affair for this team. No matter the good, bad or ugly. The "never give up" speech by Winston Churchill may be more appropos here.... not that we are fighting K-Zoo or Toledo on the beaches or in the air.
Alan, I have also come to another conclusion. I think Rutherford is a golfer. Orlando to Arizona??. Not uncommon for alot of these guys to play in a city to fix their habit.
Have a great New Year and lets go Komets...clap.. clap.. clap, clap, clap!

I've heard some crazy stuff through all of this, including that golf plays a big part in the whole scenario.

Just so I can beat someone else to the punch with a retort, You would then expect Arizona of the CHL to dominate that league. Which is usually not the case with them. Althought the Everblades are alway tough and usually win the ECHL year end scramble.

So are you saying the golf is better in Arizona than in Florida? lol

Maybe golf is too big a factor in Arizona? I've seen that happen to teams, too.
