Tailing the Komets

Komets' 2nd goal

These are from Chad Ryan of INMedia Source

Fort Wayne's Chris Auger, center, deflects the puck past Wichita goalie Bryan Hogan, scoring the Komets' second goal in the first period of Game 4 of the President's Cup Finals on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

Penalty-shot video

From Vinnie Lopes. It's under Rule 67.4 and handling the puck in the crease.

Komets go up 2-1

Daniel Maggio on a long, low power-play blast from Lovell. Officially, they are saying Chris Auger scored it, but we'll see. Komets are going back on the power play.

This entire period the Komets were more uptight than a bridegroom. They were jumping at everything. It's almost like they need to take a deep breathe and relax somehow. Four penalties gave W four pps shots, which against anyone else would be death.

It's 1-1 early

Everybody might be too jacked up if that's possible. Komets scored first on a penalty shot by Mike Vaskivuo after RG Flath played the puck in the Wichita crease. Wichita came back with a power-play goal by Matt Summers after two straight Fort Wayne penalties. Now the Thunder are going on a third power play. Komets need to relax.

The supervisors

Komets trainer Shawn Dundon and massage therapist Steve Grogg. Trust me, they'll love this.
