IceHawks scored with 3.2 left when Derek Patrosso spun from the goalline near the boards and fired the puck on the Fort Wayne net. Guy Dupuis was skating by the Komets' goal to cover his man and ended up screening Nick Boucher who got beat short-side.

Shots are 16-10 IceHawks, but the Komets have had their chances.
