Tailing the Komets

Doubtful Milam plays until Tuesday

He can't get a flight out until Thursday, and the earliest he could get to Colorado is Saturday. He'll probably just meet the team back here and  then head to Cincinnati when them on Tuesday.

Tonight's game is huge

For one reason, it's the Komets' game-in-hand against Cincinnati. The Cyclones are off tonight and the Komets can cut the margin to four points. Toledo, which leads the Komets by four points for second, is also idle.

In his words: Jamie Milam

Some notes

* Kenny Reiter was named ECHL Goaltender of the Month going 6-1-0 with one shutout, a 1.96 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage in seven appearances during the month.

* Brent Henley has been returned to the Komets from Lake Erie of the AHL and has been placed on reserve which he can come off at any time. Daniel Maggio has been loaned to Lake Erie.

* Never a dull moment.

Milam returning to Komets

From a Komets' press release

The Komets announced Monday that defenseman Jamie Milam has agreed to terms and will join the Komets for the remainder of the 2012-13 campaign.

Stanford Ratings for Feb. 4

Who's going to win?

Ravens or 49ers?

Few other differences

1. Colin Chaulk was on the bench from the start instead of watching the first period from the press box.

2. The Komets just rolled the lines early instead of trying to match up right away. That's what they have to do on the road and it works.

3. Their pre-game skate Saturday morning was much more intense as a way to try to get the guys into gameface/mind earlier in the day.

Biggest difference tonight

Everybody was going to the front of the net, all night.

It's 2-0 Komets

On this redirection by Matt Firman against Michael Houser.
