He suffered another concussion Tuesday in Bloomington.
The Komets are skating with nine forwards tonight because they want to activate Tom Mele off IR and he'll be eligible on Sunday.

What is their plans with Starenky? I am sorry but Dayton games are very boring I think I counted a total of 5 body checks in that period. Sometimes I just don't understand why, when you are a more physical team than Dayton you don't initiate your physical play in your own building.
He's first up when the next defenseman gets hurt.
Thanks Blake
It's sad that he has to hope for a teammate to get hurt in order to get on the ice. I think there is a defenseman or two that could take week off to rest up.
Really -- pretty sad when the Komets are keeping a guy around on the IR as a "fill-in" for when guy gets hurt -- nothing like cheating the system I guess, huh?
Is it "cheating" the system or using it? Is it better to just waive players, sign a few now and then as needed, then waive them? Is it better to put someone on IR where they're still getting paid or should they get waived and not get paid?
Maybe the number of players allowed on the roster needs to be revisited by the league because it seems the other teams in this league are doing the same thing based on the constant movement on the IR lists. Raise the roster by two and tighten the reporting requirements for going on the IR to include proof of some sort. Yeah, as if that would make a difference...
