Boucher is Goaltender of the Week

The Central Hockey League announced today that Fort Wayne's Nick Boucher has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending March 27, 2011 (the final week of the regular season).  It marks the second time this season Boucher has won the weekly award taking home the honor for the week of January 4-10 also.

In recognition of his achievement, Boucher will receive a special gift from Oakley.  To learn more about the wide range of Oakley products, visit www.oakley.com.

Boucher went 2-0-1 during the week stopping 65 of 68 shots (.956 save percentage) and posting a 1.21 goals against average.  The Leduc, Alberta native earned his second shutout of the season last Wednesday versus Dayton as he stopped all 27 shots he faced in the 1-0 win.  He then entered Friday's game in relief of Kevin Reiter with his team trailing 5-2 but finished with 12 saves and kept his team alive eventually losing in overtime.  He then followed that performance up with a 26-save jewel in the Komets season finale, a 2-1 win over Colorado on Saturday night.
