And Colorado has officially blown this thing off and made it look like they did nothing wrong.

Just go read Greg Rajan's blog entry about this and the comments posted from Colorado fans that were ticked off about how their team played like a bunch of out of control goons and how Mac attacked Dave Van Drunin.

I know, I know, DVD is a mouth and has cheap-shotted people before.....I get it.

But this article is nothing more than cover-up material and it allows the coach to hide behind his "undisclosed" position within the arena.

Wow.

Rajan is a hack reporter. He likes to stir up crap with his blog. He wasn't there. It was tough hockey DVD took the worst of it.

tough hockey? wow. I like Macmillan as much as the next guy, but by every account i have read on the subject, he lost his mind and deserves to sit our for a very long time. ..

Maybe i interpreted your version of "tough hockey" wrong.. kinda sounds like a bit of a dumb down, or excuse for what happened. IMO there is no excuse for what Brad did. At some point it is no longer tough hockey, and is flat out disgraceful, inhumane, and criminal.

What exactly did Brad do? He broke DVD's face in a hockey fight. It's not the first guy to get his nose busted. With no video there seem to be a lot of experts on what happened.

I completely agree JM...Everyone is throwing Mac into the fire but haven't seen what actually went down with their own eyes..Whatever happened to withholding judgment until you've actually seen an event to form an opinion...Oh yeah, this is the interwebs and everyone is an expert regardless if they've actually seen it or not.

Do you not remember DVD's lips? As huge as those are they had to be filled with a massive amount of blood so one little cut and it's going to be like a water balloon exploded.

Even fans of Colorado seem to disapprove. Plus they seem to "know" suspensions and punishments are pending.. That doesn't tell you anything? listen to the accounts of the event.. Watch the reactions of those involved. .. Evidence looks really bad against Mac...

But i see. Unless you actually see it with your own eyes you can't believe anything eh? Good thing judges in criminal cases do not abide by that theory of justice..

Sometimes you can just connect the dots.. Mac has history.. Mac recieves intent to injure. Police were contacted. Eagles own fans disapprove. Anyone who claims to have seen it says Mac jumped him and cheep shotted him... but nah.. lets not judge anything yet. wow

Mac's history? Defending teammates, fighting guys bigger than him, busting his tail every shift.... That history? Name one guy Mac "jumped" or "cheap shotted" unprovoked during his two seasons in FW?

Intent to Injure? Well, there was a huge pile of blood at the end of a line brawl. What was the ref going to call? "roughing"?

Who are we to judge anyway? What difference does it make? Zero.

I just get tired of listening to FW fans dog on Mac now that he's gone while they stood and cheered every time he laid it on the line for our entertainment.

Here is an update on DVD:

You blow Rajan's blog off.....but the people who posted comments were Colorado Fans who were at the game. Which to me means more than you ignoring that fact.

We don't have video, yet. But we do have people who were at the game that recall the event as being cheap, awful, un-called for.....I could go on and on.

I am wasting my breath. It is not gonna make any difference what I think or you think JM. The CHL and the Colorado Eagles, and maybe the Police....those are the key parties here.

My guess....Mac will have alot of regrets for exploding during such an important game......was this game 7 of the playoffs......oh right........it was a Pre-season game.

That is the kicker in all of this.....PreSeason game Mac. Stupid move.

@komets123 - a judge actually gets to hear BOTH sides, something that has not happened here but Mac has already been declared the devil so no matter what comes out, he'll now only be thought of as a goon.

What could possibly be the argument for making Mac's actions justified???

I don't care what DVD said or didn't say to Mac.....or if it was the fact Bootland attempted to hit someone and missed several plays before hand that caused Mac to lose his mind on the ice.

Whatever the reason that Mac went insane on the ice.....does it justify his actions?

I understand people want to stick-up for him and don't like that fact that he might have been in the wrong in this situation and think people are just out to dog him because he isn't a Komet anyomore....which I don't get, but whatever......but Mac obviously did something that wasn't right.

People at the game have said that they hope the Eagles cut him for what he did.

The beat-writer there (CO) said he lost his mind, and might not play for the Eagles, if and when he is allowed to.

Goto CHL Forums.com and read up on what others.....people who witnessed the event say.

He screwed up.

I am sure Mac, as he has done in the past, will be a man and own up to it eventually when the dust settles on this, and he will realize, he lost his mind.....and hopefully not his hockey career.

JM - His history? Abuse of an official. Does not look good when you run into more disciplinary trouble in the near future. What history did you think i would be referring to??? Right or wrong, you shove an official to the ice, and that follows you for a while.

GM and JM - Big Mac was a fan favorite here. Have a huge amount of respect for him. His accomplishments here as a Komet won't be forgotten. That doesn't excuse him from committing a bone headed play that he should pay for.

Dogging on Mac? get over it.. you serious? He got tossed from a game and his own fans are embarrassed about him. Police took reports.... The other team picked up their stuff and went home they were so disgusted with Colorado... but yeah.. I am just "dogging" on Mac.. must be a flip flop type fan... absolutely unbelievable.

Did you go.to the game? Seen some super duper top secret video that you aren't sharing with the rest of the class? You don't know what really happened and neither do I. Yes, I have seen Colorado fans bash him but Ive also seen Odessa fans say they saw nothing out of the norm and DVD just ended up hurt so what's your point? Everyone has an opinion and they offen differ. I'll just actually wait until I see what happened or hear from a reliable source (not a fan or Rajan) before I'm calling for Mac to be hung...it's a shame so many are so quick to cast judgment...

Normal Fights Result in a player laying in a pool of blood and spending the day in surgery to repair his face and attach screws and plates to his head to keep his face in place.

I am sure it was nothing more than just the Normal Fight where one player drops his mitts and the other does the same....face to face.

Well in light of your breakdown Hit i must say it appears to be straight up fight between the 2. clearly. Don't all fights end in 1 player receiving majors and the other in the hospital? Never mind the fans OF Macmillan's team that say it was trash.. They are all wrong. .. Most fans today seem to side on the opponents side right??

Since we can't actually SEE it, it must not have happened. can read and hear many different accounts all confirming the same thing.. BUT.. we did not see it with our own eyes so clearly, what we hear must be wrong. Evidence only exists if seen. Witness accounts mean nothing.

Greg Rajan is not a hack reporter. I've respected his work for a long time. All he has done in this case, that I've seen, is report the facts as they have been relayed in the box score and in the local media.

No sense in arguing Super Fan.........been trying all night!!! LOL

Mac is in trouble. No doubt about it.

I'll say I hope Mac had a reason for what he did; but the evidence isn't stacking up in his favor. If we haven't seen video yet, I doubt we see any at all.

I would like to hear Mac's side; but if the police are now involved that could be awhile... not looking good.

I can't believe no one has brought up the incident with shafranov and excuse me for not remembering who jumped him. But we all wanted him strung up for attempting to injure the most sportsmanlike player on the team. I liked Mac when he was here until he screwed up and started taking dumb penalties, tossing officials and creating 3-on-5's that could have very well cost that game. I'm glad he doesn't play for us anymore. Did DVD do something to warrant that attack? Maybe. Was something so severe that it warranted surgery like that. By no means what-so-ever. He lost his temper. Everyone does. And when they do, they pay with the appropriate punishment handed down. Let the powers that be handle the punishment and we'll all eventually find the truth.

Whats sad is that all this MacMania has taken away from training camp discussion and the fact that Tyler Fletcher should make the Komets roster. I can say that based on the fact that I have seen him play and seen him in practice. I'm much more informed at making observations on things I have seen.
