Better known to bloggers as Chuckitt. He is going to receive the Colin Lister Award at the Northeast Indiana Baseball Association's Hall of Fame banquet on Jan. 29. Chuck is a long-time player, coach and manager for the Wallen Little League, and the award honors "dedication to the game of baseball and its historic legacy." As someone who has won it previously, I saw welcome to the club

Congratulation to Chuck Itt. :) And to you too, Blake, retroactively of course.
Very Nice AWARD! Having Umpired for 25 years I can say Chuckitt is a class act. Lots of dedication. Congrats!!
you mean chuckit never kicked dirt on homeplate when you were behind the dish?
To the best of my (very old) memory no! That only happened 2 times to me and I remember them like it was yesterday even after 20+ years. That does not mean he was always happy with my calls. If I did my job properly he most likely doesn't even remember me. It is about the game not the umpires. Just so you know, I ejected both managers. It was just a very nice conversation!!!! Fort Wayne baseball has always had really very good baseball managers. From Little Leagues all the why up. Very dedicated men who spend a lot of time helping kids and young men learn the game and how to play it. I miss it but my knees do not.
Congratz Chuckitt....great job!
thanks to all. its really just a matter of showing up every summer!
Congratulations to my big brother. I've always been proud of you and this proves that "I'm always right"!
