* OK, here's the last thing (you hope, ha, ha) I'll say about Anton Kharin. Just for curiousity sake, I looked up what he did against the Komets that year with Muskegon. Regular season 2GP 1 assist 3 shots, 0 pim, 0 plus/minus; Playoffs 5GP 1 goal, 2 PIM, minus-8, 16 shots. I don't care how you feel about plus-minus, minus-8 in 5 playoff games ought to tell you something. Komets scored 21 goals in the series, three on the power play. So for the 18 goals they scored at even-strength in the series, he was on the ice for eight of them. No other Lumberjack was worse than minus-6 and those were his two linemates.
* Pretty good practice today. Noticed Al Sims and Gary Graham doing a ton of teaching, making sure everyone understood systems and a great deal of talk about shooting the puck on net and hustling to get to the front of the net to deflect and get to rebounds.
* Komets are doing a poster to give away on Thanksgiving that will be similar in style and format to the Bruise Brothers poster, the last one they did in 2002.
* Guess who the best shootout player on the team is? Danko Mironovic, he of three goals in two years, was three-for-three today. He's scored the last five times I've seen him take a shootout shot. Birthday Bobby Phillips was two-for-three. It's also Kevin Reiter's birthday.
* I asked Komets coach Al Sims today about the forwards' confidence in shooting, especially when they have to go against Nick Boucher and Kevin Reiter in practice. ``Both of them are really good in practice so it's tough for our guys to score. If you score on one of them, you feel pretty good. We can't really tell Bouch or Rides to let guys score because then it affects them and their confidence, and we want them to be confident. I think it's good for us to try to beat those two because most of the teams have that No. 1 guy."

I think those stats say a lot. Kharin was on the ice for nearly half of the even strength goals the K's scored against the 'Jacks in a five game series. Sounds like his line was very ineffective against the K's in that series.
Out of curiousity, do you know how many tickets are out for Friday? Looks like some big crowds this weekend.
I'm getting ready to head to class, so have fun....
He's going to sign with Rio Grande Valley.
Kharin is going to sign with Rio Grand Valley
You mean when he played in the playoffs against the Komets...FRESH out of college. Also, who else was on the ice with him? He's not a d-man
?? Who's using my name? Oh, another Steve, imagine that... :-)
GM, it looks like we can't win this argument. There must be a reason why people are going out of their way to disuade (is that a word?) us on wanting a guy that has good stats, is young, and has serious wheels on the ice. Not to mention K-Wing fans speak highly of him, as do FuryJack fans.
I will allow the Jedi Mindtricks to work on me this time.
"Anton Kharin is evil......You don't want him......he skates in figure eights......Anton Kharin hates the colors Orange and Black.....There is nothing to see here....."
LOL
Momm..ma..mom..mamma...mamma....mamma said that Anton Kharin is the devil!
Wonder if Blake has a tattoo of Roy Orbison on his butt?
Someone should do some snooping around and find out.
Where is Burgee and Schebig when we need them....Foo Foo Drinking Butt Kissers.
LOL
Guarantee that brings our Buddy back out of Blog Hiding.
LMAO........kidding of course.
Schebig probably already knows the answer without having to do any new research hahaha!
