It's a two-year deal, which is interesting.
The elevation of the Evansville IceMen franchise to the newly-created IHL / CHL Super League has gained even more form and stature today as the league's newest member prepares for its premiere in the 2010-11 pro hockey season.
At the organization's second major press conference in less than a month's time, conducted Thursday at the IceMen hockey home of Swonder Ice Arena, Team Owner and Club President Ron Geary has announced that veteran championship coach RICH KROMM has been named the General Manager and Head Coach of the IceMen. It is a two-year contract with terms of the pact not disclosed as adhering with club policy.
KROMM
(KHROM), 46, will be coming to Evansville toting under his arm a rich resume of achievements and accolades through both a distinguished coaching career as well as outstanding playing career in the National Hockey League.

I hope he brings back bigsnake
Yeah, if you believe that, I'd like to sell you some property. Not going to happen. In fact, I'll guarantee it.
I have a "New" nickname for the IceMen. "Muskeville" Sure fits. I think bigsnake has wore out his welcome in the hockey world. Robin Dead Meat would be a better fit.
Evansville IceJacks..... :)
That's a great signing for them. Having a credible, experienced coach should really help a young franchise. Hopefully they start releasing player signings now
how long before the true hockey fans in musky get fed up with the aahl and stop going to games?
They have the USHL too Chuck. That league will be the bigger draw there. That is a decent brand of hockey.
were they going to the AAHL games to begin with....And nobody even knows if they'll have the AAHL this year because they haven't even started construction yet on the rink their supose to be playing in.
You wont see bigsnake mitebite and that is written in stone.
I'll miss him :(
Wait a sec... I just noticed that to help people pronounce KROMM, they are using the phonetic guide "KHROM" in parenthesis. Like spelling it with a KHR makes it easier to read and say. That's just crazy.
