As someone who is a year away from graduation, I can relate to how difficult it is to return to school. A quality education requires not only a major financial investment, but hours of study, and still taking care of your daily responsibilities....
Keep up the good work, Sean and Bobby. It's young men like you that give more substance to the term "student-athlete".

I also returned to school this year. Taking all the same class both players are taking. Working Full time and going to school full time has been hard but it will be worth it in the end. If either of you want to know a good speech professor let me know. I have the best one right now at IPFW.
Good Luck and Go Komets!

This has nothing to do with the topic of the above thread, but I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to live in the greatest country in the world. The founding fathers, using wisdom that until then was unknown, virtually created the most remarkable system of government ever devised. It has lasted the test of time, allowing for a peaceful exchange of power, and trusting in its citizens the knowledge to change it when it needs to be altered.
Certainly it isn't perfect, but what thing created by human beings could be perfect.
For those of us who will sit down with family and friends tomorrow, or even this weekend, let us remember that God has blessed us in so many ways it would take a lifetime to list them.
So my wish for all of you is a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Go Komets!

School is cool.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Super Fan, and to all the turkeys that blog on here, too. Hope everyone has a great holiday with their family and hope that everyone gets some much needed rest, so take a nap before you go to the game tomorrow night, because I am predicting the Komets are playing Quad City tomorrow night. LOL Not sure if I want to say win or lose, because you all know that the new marketing routine is not wins and losses or Kups and Championships anymore.....it is that "We Make Hockey Fun"...
Is it not ironic that this was the marketing campaign this year. Focus away from wins, and focus on fun.
Hmmmm.
Sproat is a freaking genius. LOL
None-the-less, Happy Thanksgiving....you are what you eat.

What time you want me over JR?

Rechlicz has been waived. Bad move IMO. I don't think he was utilized and could ahve contributed more with the appropriate ice-time. What did we have to lose? You know?
Also.....Cohn reports that Levesque from Quad City was apparently being shopped around, and was traded to Mississippi for future considerations......What? He was a the ulitimate Komet Killer last season. Skates like greased lightning, scores points, passes the puck, wins faceoffs, and is that topline center that we don't have.
Good move ignoring him and letting that one go by.
Maybe we didn't have anyone on our roster that QC cared for? Or maybe we did and we weren't willing to pull the trigger?
Or maybe someone else is coming? CC?
This one makes me scratch my head. We sit by not adding a spark, I mean a real spark, not 19 or 20 year old D-3 player with no experience in AA hockey.....and we keep on losing.
I would have snatched Levesque up in heartbeat.
Unless.....the Lord himself is coming to the Komets......LOL

Rechlitz was better than Legault..... but worse than everyone else. Not really sad to see him go.
Hit Somebody!!!
Wed, 11/24/2010 - 2:13pm
I guess I agree.
But no one at this point can brag about much.
And we are keeping Legault for what reason.
We will all know when we see a 6 foot 5 Icy Walking around the arena I guess.
QC fans are PO'd. I just read some comments that Coach Anzalone is not popular with the players or the fans. Fans claim that Anzalone benched him after he fought a couple of times when he was sticking up for teammates.
Gotta hate that quality in a player, a guy that sticks up for teammates and scores points. We sure don't need that. LOL
(Insert Super Fan telling me I am full of crap here)

And why are you always so in love with the next guy instead of the current guy? There are always inflated values that the next guy is going to be the next big thing, but it rarely, if ever, works out that way.
Like Kharin, Leseque doesn't play any defense. Last year against the Komets: 15GP, 2 goals, 5 assists, 7 pts, minus-10. 21 PIM. And he's played for 13 teams in eight years. Clue?
Most of the time, flashy doesn't equal a good hockey player.

Heard that QC cut Levesque cuz all he wanted to do was score. (Reaching for a tissue here.) Guessing the powers that be think we need more of a team player than someone who just wants to score. Will just have to wait and watch. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and see you at the game.
