If Bloomington wins on Sunday, the PrairieThunder will face the Komets in the first round. If Bloomington loses, then the PrairieThunder will finish fourth and the Komets would face Missouri in the first round. Missouri has the first tiebreaker which is overall wins not counting shootout wins. Both teams have 80 points, but Bloomington has three shootout wins, and Missouri has only one.

I want no part of Rob Nolan...he knows enough about the Komets and can carry a team through the postseason....Go Bloomy! (Also would be nice that there would be the potential to get to a road game this year...Bloomy has a cool new barn!
Bloomington's first two playoff games would be at 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Uh, its Robby Nolan now. (Lol!)
Missouri's first two games would be Friday-Saturday.
I think a series against Bloomington would be an entertaining war. The Thunder finally have some goaltending to go with their offense. For the good of the franchise it was good to see their fan base rewarded with a quality team.
And maybe this is a pole for Blake to run but their uniforms are my favorite in this league (next to the Komets of course) I wonder what a league wide survey would produce on that subject.

I actually think a series with Bloomington would be as boring as humanly possible. Trap, trap, trap.
If we get Bloomers, it's a good barn & the fans are cool. The wife & I were there for the "bus" trip, when the K's broke down on way to game & we had locals coming up to chat ALL game long.
They want to know what we thought of new league, about our place, trip over, where to sit if they come this way, how they liked R. Guinn + Leo T., we were even visited by their idea of the DC HOGGS....GOOD TIME WORTH THE TRIP
good point about the traps Blake. It would be like Nashville playing Minny in the NHL....boring!
Loved how the Komets kept an aggressive forecheck against Colorado. Wish they'd play that way all the time!
I wish they would outlaw the trap all together.... Makes for really boring hockey everywhere that runs it...
BTW, I would rather play Missouri... The games vs. the traditional CHL teams have been the most enjoyable to watch this season....
Yep thats what i pointed out in an earlier post. Put the "trap" to rest and forecheck and backcheck like crazy!! Take the body and crash the net. Trap system is the LAZY way and extremely boring. One would think that those in the know would be aware of this! Alan i know you agree with this right??
I most certainly do agree, Tim!!
Please read the following. It is an article that was published October 13th, 2007 in the News-Sentinel by Blake Sebring. He interviewed (then) new Coach Pat Bingham and they were talking about his (Bingham's) systems.
"What we're not going to have is a perimeter team," Bingham said. "We're not going to just sit on the perimeter and try to score that way. I know the highest percentage scoring chances are odd-man rushes and rebounds. We want to have players who are going to play in traffic to create odd- man rushes, to try and create two-on-ones all over the ice, so that takes a certain amount of commitment and bravery, playing in traffic.
"You have to take a hit to make a play and chip it to your buddy...."We're going to shoot the puck a lot, go to the net, and we're going to get in front of that goaltender so he can't see. We're going to work on those things from the very beginning. You do it for me, and I'll do it for you."
Everyone has their own opinion, of course. I found his style refreshing back then. After reading the article again I must admit I still find it refreshing.
Alan, I forgot to say how nice it was to meet you Friday night. It's so nice to put a face with the books, I mean post I read...LOL!
And it was nice to meet you, Hoss! I know exactly what you mean.
