Smart move. He got his bell rung pretty good last week. You just can't take any chances with head injuries.

How is Woods doing with the Komets? Will he wear #17 ? Will they make a hockey card of him?

With Hukalo on IR now, will the team still have to release someone before Friday's game to make room for Matt?

Nobody will be released until Woods is on the active roster, which I don't believe he is. The team is at 20 active players. One will be healthy scratched for each game

Here's a bit of information for anyone who might care. Former Komet Tomas Klempa signed with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL and has played three games for them. He scored his first goal for them in the game they played last night. Good for him.... Travis Whitehead signed with the Reading Royals of the ECHL and has played one game. No goals, no assists, but is a minus one.

It's good to hear about those guys. I always wonder how people do when they leave here. I'm looking forward to tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully the team can continue making up more ground now that they are syncing up better with each other.

Blake, a somewhat off-topic question, but not totally. On January 9th Robin Big Snake was placed on "non-roster" according to the IHL's transaction web page. What is non-roster and how does it count against a team. What does it mean for Big Snake playing again.

NON-ROSTER SPOT:
Each team is allowed to put an unlimited amount of players on a non-roster spot. If a player has been put on a non-roster spot, he can not be activated for 45 days. After the 45-day period, the team can re-activate the player to the active roster.

I think that means they still have his rights. If you want him you must trade or pay to get him. He gets no pay! He gets to be the big baby he is and nothing to show for it.
