For Stephon Thorne and Kevin Beech. They'll be activated for this weekend's games, which means the Komets have ot make some roster moves. Nothing yet on Jamie Lovell.

Well, at least now the Komets will be able to evaluate their roster and make plans for the future.
Just a thought. Maybe Thorne is a "sniper". Maybe that is the reason it has taken so long to allow him to stay. ( That was just a joke. I know it was a poor one but there hasn't been much humor on these blogs for awhile).
To Blake, or anyone else who may know, have these guys been practicing all this time? Have they been getting paid? If they have not gotten paid, how have they survived? It was my understanding ( imagine me understanding anything) that they could not be paid until the immigration issues were resolved. If they were practicing would the union agreement protect them if they would get injured?
Did anyone notice that in Saturday's game against Evansville that all six goals were scored within six feet of the net? Crashing the net is one of the secrets, isn't it? I hope Al Sims pounded that lesson home this week. One last hockey note is how impressed I was with the shoot-out. The Komets are very deep in players for Al Sims to choose as shoot out participants. I don't think I have read in any blog the potential the K's enjoy when it comes to shoot-outs.
Speaking of blogs, I ran into Snuff's blog today. I read it and, while I will defend his right to put whatever he wants on it, I thought it to be wildly over the top with ideas that are, for the sake of being polite, just crazy.
For those who have applauded the desertion from this blog by complaining of some being too dominant or of taking over the thread, I would suggest that you should not be intimidated by others. Fire right back at them if your ideas or opinions are different. Just do it in a respectful, logical, factual manner. Your posts are no less important as mine or theirs. You can help inform others by expressing differing views. By abandoning your chance to get vocal, you certainly make this blog weaker.
OK. I have expressed my regrets concerning the turn this blog is going through. I have asked that all bloggers and Blake reconsider their positions and come to some sort of understanding. Go back to the thread "Event Coming" to read my thoughts in total.
Life is too short and the solution is too easy.
Sorry for the "book". I'm not sorry about trying to bring everyone back together. The problem is that if I harp on it too much, people will just turn me off. So, I've done my best, and leave the role of "peacemaker" in hopes that a frank discussion, one without name calling, insults, and other types of inappropriate behavior can open the door for a better blog, both by the bloggers and Blake.
Looking forward to finally getting to see these guys play!
Should say Evansville on Saturday night, not Dayton. Glad these two players finally got their papers. One more to go.
Be good to see the "new" boys.
Saw the other blog...eh...whatever. As the saying goes..."opinions are like...a certain body part"...and blogs are often like a proctologists office.
Starenky is due to come off the IR tomorrow also...so 3 new guys to see.....
JR, Starenky is not coming off IR yet.
Would they be forced to move him then to the 30 day IR?
No, because they are saying if someone gets injured this weekend, injured enough to go on IR, then he would definitely play.
This defensive situation is going to get sticky, with Lovell and Starenky eventually coming to the line up who will be the odd men out? I was at the game Sat & no one seemed to stick out, actually I liked what all the young guys had to offer. I guess we could just play the IR game..
This is good news, I'm also looking forward to seeing them, and the games this weekend.
Good question Alan about the pay issue. I think anyone can technically practice with the team but I think they cannot get paid, probably by league rules and maybe immigration laws also, but I'm not sure. No idea what would happen if there is an injury.
I also wonder about the union, it's obviously a closed shop, do the players have to pay dues?
Alan, quit apoligizing for and insulting yourself, I wonder about your self esteem.
lol, prolly apoligizing so he doesnt get booted. its been going around lately...
Will be interesting to see the lines on Friday. Would hate to have to make the roster decisions when everyone is healthy and everyone has their papers.
Game day !!!! let's see what happens tonight.
Will you be in attendance, Fro?
Well said, Alan. I don't see many problems that aren't caused by Sniff (er, Snuff). It's easy to hide behind a computer and be an internet bully. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't say it under the protection of an alter-ego screen name. For that reason, I post under my full name. And my phone number is 449-5002. My address is 6311 Headwaters Trail. I can no longer insult or ridicule someone without giving them the chance to hold me accountable for it. I strongly believe that if everyone was required to disclose this info this blog would be much cleaner and free of "playground gangsters" as I like to call them lol. Now, if anyone has an issue with my post you can call me or just stop by! If you agree with me, call me too! Or stop by for a beer!
Jungle: I will not be able to make it to the 1 and only game this year in Ft. Wayne. I'm a little upset at the scheduling this year as I'm sure you K's fans are to. We were at the playoff games in Ft.Wayne last year & really enjoyed the hockey setting and were hoping to get back there this year for a couple of games.
let us hope for a playoff meeting then eh.
That would be nice. Another trip to Ft. Wayne would make the season perfect.
Classic post, Jeremy!
Thanks RK! :)
Jeremy, Do you keep cold beer in the fridge?
Yes!
Yea!! Pregame party at Jeremy's...Or is it post game? :-)
Parties are BYOB! But individual visitors are on the house lol.
Kyle, believe me, I have no self esteem issues.
I have been kidded ( in a very good-natured manner ) about writing "books" when I post. I posted that I was sorry for the "book", but not sorry for trying to bring people on the blog back together. I was just using the word "sorry" to segue into my next thought.
People who know me can verify that I can stand up for myself quite well.
There is a time to be frank and speak one's mind, and a time to stand back and listen with patience. The trick is knowing when to do each one.
Thanks for your post, Kyle, and thanks for taking the time to read my posts.
