I always count Bubba's dog biscuits. As for the box, I'm planning to account for all the time I have accrued on February 3.

I have a rumor question too to ask of Super Fan....but I will e-mail him first and see what he has heard as I don't want to upset the applecart here......

Hahahaha, and cited in either Chicago or MLA format. Upset the applecart, Hit, that's what makes this fun. I really hope this doesn't turn into something where everyone sends safety e-mails before asking questions, or else the Dark Side has won.

Wendy - We haven't done a video with Randy yet this year, but it's not out of the question to do one in the near future.

I will upload more clips on either vimeo or youtube of the fights and/or highlights as I get to some games before I go on the IR and cut our staff even further for two months.

I'll try to get Blake and Randy together once before then, and I should have a pretty cool video feature story coming up very soon - maybe next week.

It is winning indeed. I hate posting things and having the High Ground lecture us. The name-callers are winning over this blog. The Negative Nellie crap is just that.....crap. But, I don't let it get me down. I will continue to keep it real. If I have an opinion, I will say it. I enjoy discussing topics on here with several of you guys and gals, and I think of the majority of you as friends. And for that, thanks gang. I have argues it out to the brink with Frozen a few times, but at the end of the day, I normally agree with 75% or above of what he says. That is what makes it fun, we don't have to always agree.....just don't make it personal. Have fun. We all love the Komets, I just love them more than all of you....LOL

But my choice tonight has nothing to do with any of that. I choose to ask my question in private, and if Blake wants to discuss it in this public forum, so be it. I don't want to turn the blog into a fight tonight. LOL

Thge heck with it, I think the rumor Hit may be referring to is the possible departure of Muskegon to the USHL which is good juniors hockey that is growing by leaps and bounds... They courted them 2 years ago, I believe, and it seems that the embers are still burning... No salaries in the USHL and is much cheaper to manage...

You may want to check a few things before posting this and you probably could of answered you own question. The USHL consideration was made with the old ownership. Tim Taylor is a strong owner and attendance is up at LC Walker this year. Taylor and his group are also running the arena. USHL would kill attendance. You'd be lucky to get 500 at a game. Any more rumors I could help you answer on your own?

While that snarky response was based in year old facts, there seem to be new developments being published with regard to Muskegon/USHL. Is it anything more than a rumor?

BTW, Jeff and Stacey Patulski are the majority owners in Muskegon, Taylor serves as GM.

Hit: I couldn't agree more. I think you and I have only had one real discussion on here, other than that I think we've pretty much agreed on here. There are some on here I tend to skip over what they say, but you are definitely one of the posters I make sure to stop and read because: a) you always say what you think; b) you have thick skin and can take criticism; and c) you know your hockey and post great information. I can't agree with you all the time though, simply because that would be boring.

G_Hockey: Seriously, cry about it some more. You really took that as some huge slam? It was a gentle poke at the most. As much as you go after people on here and make them feel like crap for asking questions and you take that as a "slam"? I don't know what type of work you're in but it must be some nice happy place because you'd get eaten alive in my line. Have you ever heard of a sense of humor? They really are great, you should look into one. And believe me, that's not a slam either, just a suggestion. I'm not saying you don't know what you're talking about, because I think if people took the time to cipher through your lectures and rants, you probably have some good information. Your last post had good info after you dig through the extra stuff, along with your departing "slam": "Any more rumors I could help you answer on your own?"

I don't get the sayings about being negative either, posted by a lot of people. They are opinions and questions. People have them. I think to be truly negative, you'd have to not like the Komets or anything that is going on. Just because you have concerns or opinions, you aren't really negative, are you? In any event, negative, positive, agree, disagree, to me this is a fun blog. It's a great way to get a lot of information about the league and teams from a lot of great sources. I've found myself actually catching bits and pieces of the GOW to see who some of you are. Some of the info on here is wrong sometimes, but that's to be expected. Even with some of the info being wrong, the world continues to spin. Have a good day all, and enjoy the circus!!!

Alan: I read your post on the other topic. It's good to see you've got your touch back. It's been awhile since I've read a good book ;)

Hit: You always write good stuff, keep it up. I think the vast majority of us on here consider one another friends and enjoy what each other writes.

Frozen: I agree with a lot of what you're writing. I guess my only advice to you and the others is to ignore the "Professor" if you don't agree with what he's saying. You're wasting a lot of your time on someone who I don't think understands the point of a blog and probably isn't going to change.

Dschebig: How are you going? Good interview on GOW. I can't say I watch those since I go to the games, but I saw you on there as I was flipping channels and you did a nice job.

Blake: Do you post on here anymore or just sit back and enjoy the fireworks??

I agree with what Hit Somebody, Jungle Monkey, Dschebig, and Frozen Water have stated. I feel there is nothing wrong with asking a simple question. If anyone feels that people are trying to "spread rumors with no regard for anyone" when someone is asking a question, then that's on them and no one else. I especially believe this when the person begins their statement with "I heard this rumor...is there any truth to it". Sometimes people have to remember that athletes know that people are going to ask questions and try to find out information. They may not like everything that is said, they may not agree with it, but it is part of the job. People want to know information (good or bad) about their team. I'm sure the Komet players have thick skin and can handle whatever questions are asked and comments stated from a blog.

To G_Hockey, what gives? Why are you always so defensive? It seems that if people do not agree with 100% of what you say, 100% of the time, then you become very upset. It's great that we can all have different opinions. We don't have to agree, but we can try our best to maintain a level of respect for each other.

Actually, very, very busy working on some non-Komet stuff right now. Trying to get the new book deal wrapped up, HS gymnastics, a HS hockey story or two and a few other things. Sometimes I might even sleep.

RK- 1st. Thank you for your kind words. I assure you it was fun. Wendy does a great job. I am setting back and reading this like a really "great" comic book. It is fun sometimes to just following along. You must keep the mind open at all times when you read this blog or any other. There are people who make post that absolutely have no idea what they are talking about. Than there are people who do a really good job of creating interest and excitement in the Komets. I personally enjoy "all" of them. Some more than others but all of them.

I am very interested in finding out if the IHL (Brad Jones) issued any fines or suspensions for the line brawl in Bloomington last week. My best guess would be fines only. If Blake (aka Super Fan) knows he will pass it along to us.

I don't mind you guys posting most rumors. I hope you understand the difference between posting stuff that is on-ice related vs. off-ice in some cases. I don't ever want to see stuff about players' personal lives on here. I thought last week's question was an honest one, without malice, it just cut pretty close to home for Brad and what he stands for. He would never do it.

Blake: Is Woods for sure going to be able to go on the 29th, or is that just the earliest possible date he might play? I've heard both. Thanks again!

First, thank you Blake for accepting "rumors" on your blog as I can see they cause some of your readers to get bent out of shape. Mine are only meant to be questions that effect the Hockey side of our team, that today's technology (the internet) cannot prove to be true.

Second, I guess I need to apologize to anyone that is offended by rumors being posted. Please in the future feel free to pass over these posts as I am only trying to find out the truth about things that truly worry me as a Hockey fan and have not been able to find any other information on. I felt asking a question about something that could greatly effect our team was warranted as there is only so much time left to try and find a decent replacement (which in this case my opinion is there is none). I don't believe this rumor to be true, but I thought I would try and get factual information from someone that has access to the players and can find out the truth rather than asking around to people that could also only make guesses (which is how true rumors actually get started).

I feel that this blog can be a graveyard for rumors to come and die, as Blake has the latest and greatest information about the Komets and can find out if there is any truth behind the many things that we fans hear about.

Thanks again Blake, as I know how much time and effort you must put into staying on top of everything that is going on. This is by far the best blog on the Komets, and I appreciate all the information that is provided.

Not taking things personally but I do know about when things hit a little close to home and when people go out of bounds. Don't want to give another lecture but today people don't seem to have a regard for the feelings of others. It's the whole internet impersonal (is that a word) thing. People love to post crap about others w/o regard. Not just here but everywhere. I would love people to go back to traditional values and think about what they say and write before posting. Lecture over....

As I said on the piece, I expect Mitch to play on the 29th, but I would not expect him to get a regular shift. That might be a little early for that.
