They can try... and someone else will take the job of broadcaster and I am sure do a wonderful job...but there will be no replacing Tim Hoke.

What Snuffy said. There's no replacing a man like Tim Hoke.
That said, I'm interested in seeing who else commentates with Randy. Good luck to them filling Tim's shoes though.

Maybe Randy should ask a blogger or two to fill in. One of the things that Tim loved to do was to check in on this blog. Before anyone dismisses my thought, one should remember that some of us were attending Komet games long before Tim or Randy, for that matter, were part of the Komet history. Tim seemed to love this blog and had some favorites. I'm sure he a would echo my thoughts.
Randy, if this suggestion seems way out of line, then meet with a blogger so you can "test" them on Komet history ( or whatever) to satisfy any misgivings you may have before the broadcast.
I think Tim would approve.

Alan, that sounds like fun. There are some on here who would be great, I'll bet!

Tim will be hard to replace, no doubt. Having a blogger fill in from time to time would be interesting. Would there be a requirement they have actually played hockey? Tim was a goalie and Randy (is that spelled right, I'm thinking his name is spelled differently) played D.
I also remember that Tim was critical of the blogs and the comments bloggers made at one time, then he started hanging out here and his attitude changed. It would be interesting to see Randy do the same but he would not be as diplomatic in his comments as Tim was. I'm not holding out any hope for that in the foreseeable future however, and besides he wouldn't be allowed to comment on here anyway due to league rules.

Is this a dead link or is it just my computer?
