KOMETS ADD VETERAN WINGER RUDENKO
Fort Wayne, IN
Rudenko celebrates his 29th birthday today and hails from Novosibirsk, Russia. The veteran winger will be entering his 10th pro season this year and 4th in the UHL. Rudenko previously skated under the direction of Komet head coach Pat Bingham in 2000-01 with the UHL Eastern Conference Champion Asheville and advance to the 2001 UHL finals with a team second-best 8 assists and 13 points in 11 playoff games. Rudenko also skated in the UHL during the 2002-03 season registering a team fourth-best 34 goals and 65 points in 74 games with Adirondack. The Russian native skated juniors in the Ontario Hockey League from 1995-97. He made his rookie debut with Quad City in the UHL in 1997 and was voted to the 1997-98 UHL All-Rookie Team.
Last season Rudenko appeared in stints with Florida and Pensacola scoring 7 goals, 15 points and 67 penalty minutes in 37 ECHL games.
The Komets have also invited to camp goaltender Daniel Ljung. Ljung, 26 (la-JUNG), is a native of Sweden and played 4 seasons of collegiate hockey at Lawrence University (NCAAIII) in Wisconsin from 2002-2005. Ljung also was a member of the Capital District Selects of the Eastern Junior Hockey League during 1999-00.
IF YOU WANT TO SEE SOMETHING REALLY INTERESTING, LOOK AT HIS NUMBERS WHEN HE PLAYS FOR BINGHAM:
Asheville: Bogdan Rudenko................................ 44 28 18 46 124
Adirondack: Bogdan Rudenko................................ 74 34 31 65 99
Wheeling: Bogdan Rudenko................................ 41 17 26 43 80
Now compare them to what they are every other year. His best years by far are with Bingham.

And he HAS posted a reasonable amount of PIM's which interests all TRUE hockey fans.
I'm telling you, you average 1 1/2 ro 2 fights per game and we get off that 7,500 attendance nummber and start filling that dump.
$4 parking or NO!
Anyone think with the $4 parking now being charged that Randy Brown can afford to pay out ACPD officers the overtime rate they deseve for providing security?
...or at least a new scoreboard.
Dump?
And Rudenko will make a good additon to the 2nd line with Vorhees, if he makes the team that is.
The ACPD issue is interesting. There has to be more to it.
Rudenko looks like a quality 2nd line guy.
The goalie doesn't impress me much, we'll see, I guess.
Indy -- I was comparing it to the State Fairgrounds.
It is a dump i've only been there once, I'm from Fort Wayne. FYI
Keep the signings coming. Things are really heating up. A little birdy told me that the next signing is a BIG one. Hold onto your hat.
About time you guys give management some credit? Maybe, just maybe they DO know what they are doing?
I know, time will tell but "on paper" the pieces are falling into place nicely.
Tony, lets see them on the ice before we start handing out a Laurel and Hardy Handshake.
are we akkowed to play six or seven vets at one time? weve got seven in camp now.
seven
Hit --
Brendan Tedstone?
MAN
Not a chance......talented hockey player.
Tedstone has already signed with Elmira
I know.
he said a BIG ONE!
i am starting to worry about where are little friend KW is.
Hit must be in the know. If it happens it is definitely a BIG signing. Start to get excited Komet fans!
I'm always excited for Komet hockey big signing or not!
How about Parsons, I know he hasn't played in a few seasons. I'm really just bored, I wonder if he retired??

Blake can you confirm this "big" signing coming up? Hit, is it a tweener or rookie?
I don't confirm anything until I can actually confirm it. But I think Hit could be onto something. LOL.
As I said in the previous thread. i see a problem with Rudenko playing a whole season lately. Yes he's had good stats with Bingham when he played with him eariler in his carrer, but now it seems he's having problems staying in the line. I don't mean to be negative but is this Bingham actually being sentimental or can Rudenko survie and play 60-70 games?
Just throwing this out there, but who says you only have seven vets on the roster? Would that help answer your question, Greg?
I tell you what, if you guys aren't excited by what the Ks have done so far... This is the best lineup they've had on paper since 2002 to start the season.
Good night, I've been threatened with my life if I don't take the night off.
I don't have a problem with Rudenko being a vet, I have a problem that he's not playing full season lately. Are the K's using up a spot on a guy that might play 50 games?
Dream Big Guys....this next signing is a proven scorer and all around player at this level. This will be the guy that takes us over the top and maybe into the top 2 or 3 in this league to win the cup. No kidding either. This team is coming together and we are going to be loving hockey in the Fort again. Go crazy guys. I am excited.
And to answer a previous question...no. Not saying which question I am answering though.
That should be good for about 100 or so posts I think.
It may be Enema Man though too.....you never know what kind of mood I am in. Would I do that to all of you...????
It is not Ryan Jorde or Rob Guinn. Thank God.
Maybe it is Manute Bol....he would be a big signing...at least a tall one. He did skate a shift for the Indy Ice about 5 to 6 years ago.
