I think one thing that stands out is when the leadership of the club is playing the system the way the HC wants then in turn holding the players accountable to play to their standard it shows the character and leadership on this club as opposed to the first part of the year last season. Having Chaulk and Smith holding their teammates accountable goes a long way. Those two are leading by example and that makes the HC job a lot easier!!

Blake, what day is jesse suppose to be back and is he still on the right track to come back on that date. I hope that was the problem and it makes him come back and score some goals. If he starts producing fast teams are in real trouble with us.

Being made "captain" of your club is usually awarded because of leadership ability. The Komets have at least four players who are or were captains. Mele ( in college), Thorne ( in juniors), Smith ( at Bossier-Shreveport) and Chaulk. Since Rizk came to the Komets with a recommendation from Greg Puhalski, you can pretty much be assured that you've got a guy who works hard at playing his position well and is disciplined.
