The Komets have added rookie forward Matt Syroczynski to the preseason roster. The 23-year-old comes to the Komets from Worchester of the American Hockey League where he's been in training camp. He's 6-foot, 5-inches tall, 225 pounds. Last year he played NCAA hockey at Vermont, scoring 3 goals and 9 points with 71 penaty minutes in 35 games.
He is not in the lineup for tonight's game.

So we get a physical player with great size who went to a great school who was in an AHL camp and no one has anything to say? Good signing by the K's.
Does this mean Aubin is out?
I don't know, but I would bet this guy is a much better all around hockey player than Aubin based on where he has played. Not a fair statement to Aubin, but I feel it's true.
Syroczynski led Vermont in penalty minutes last season as well.
This shows a clear willingness to continue to look for improvements.
According to ESPN.com on the Sharks page, he was with San Jose's camp as well and assigned to Worcester.
Here is a story on him...
"The tough, rugged forward loves the type of roll that he is being given with the Catamounts.
"They have me on some of the penalty killing and they have me in front of the net," he explained. "I am a big, physical type of guy and I enjoy that physical type of play."
