The Stanford System connects and compares the teams based on the results of this season's games. For each game, the system considers who won, the margin of victory, and the location of the game. The “Rating” is a measure of a team's past performance and future potential relative to all of the other teams. Thus, a team with a rating of 85 would be expected to beat a team with a rating of 80 by 5 points. The “Schedule” column indicates the ranking of each team's schedule difficulty for games played to date.
