* After scoring 16 goals in their first 11 games, the Komets have nine in their last two. Frankie DeAngelis has six points in the first two games so far this week, and Kevin Reiter made 37 saves in a 4-2 win over Evansville on Friday night.
``Everybody is having fun now where everybody was miserable before,'' Komets coach Al Sims said. ``We know how much fun winning can be, and the guys want to keep it going.''
* The Komets will NOT be sending a player to Missouri. The press release says ``considerations'' which Komets GM David Franke says will not be a player. They aren't saying what it will be, though, but if it's not a player, who cares? Maybe it's a pair of industrial washers like they received from Kalamazoo once for Andy Bezeau's rights.
* The Komets will have to make a roster move very early this week, though. Because Steven Delisle is an NHL-contracted player on assignment, the CHL rule is that a player like that does not count against the overall roster for the first five games. His fifth game will be tonight.
* The Komets had every intention of putting Bobby Phillips on IR this morning, which is what I was told last night by two team officials. Then Craig Cescon took a shot off the shin and could not make the trip tonight. Don't know if he'll be able to play Saturday.
* Danko Mironovic suffered a concussion in the second period Friday night, and Keith Rodger moved into the lineup full-time in his spot.
* Tab Lardner will not be in practice until Tuesday and will not count against the Komets' roster until likely late in the week. The deal didn't heat up until Friday afternoon, Franke said, though the teams had been talking informally for about a week. It was partly a salary cap issue for the Mavericks and partly an ice-time issue.
BTW, Lardner did not play a lot with Naurato and Patrosso in Port Huron, and certainly not all three together. Komets are looking to keep him on the wing.

I am honestly satisfied no players we already have will be shipped out. Good to see organizational trust, or Frankes dont want to admit their mistake...however, I'd say organizational trust.
Wow, anyone notice our schedule beginning Dec. 4th? In a span of 14 games, we play Dayton 7...7 times! I hope we dont play against them the first 2 times we have. 1-0 and 4-1.

Well if they don't have to send a player in a trade and they have to make room for him, then how does the cap work with the addition of Tad? Are the K's at their max for Vet's right now? If not would they have to release someone making the same as Tad? The beauty of trying to figure out cap limits and IR rules...

First 2 times we played Evansville, I think they had 14 skaters. Last night, they only dressed 1 goalie and had 15 skaters. What's up? Franke says future considerations does not mean a K player is leaving because of bringing on Larnder, but how is the salary cap being handled by acquiring another high paid vet like Lardner? Ahh, let's hear it for the fine print...
So whats the deal with Bobby? Why was he being put on the IR? He obviously isnt hurt. I can't imagine that he's in the doghouse. He's one of the hardest working guys on the ice.
Looking at the stats forthis season, I really can't see PC staying. He isn't putting up the numbers. Curdy was hyped up when he was signed to to waive him would be a PR nightmare.

Brad MacMillan was coming near the end of his suspension (more than halfway, at least), but he couldn't wait any longer to make a decision.
Thus, he has left the team and perhaps said goodbye to hockey.
Head coach Chris Stewart confirmed tonight before the game against Rapid City that MacMillan opted to leave the team. The Eagles will hold his rights in the league just in case he changes his mind, but Stewart wanted to reiterate that his being placed on suspension had nothing to do with bad conduct.
Said Stewart prior to Wednesday's game: "The long and short of it is Brad has decided hockey isn't in his future any longer, which is disappointing to the Colorado Eagles. Unfortunately he got painted with a broad and ugly brush. I think that everything that has transpired since the preseason has driven him to not want to play the game anymore.
"It has nothing to do with conduct, and I think that's important to clarify. There was no misconduct. The guy was fabulous as far as his work ethic, his attitude; he was full of life and worked hard for us on the ice."
Stewart said the MacMillan was fined for every game that he was suspended for, and that the financial constraints were heavy in forcing MacMillan to have to find something else.
"Anytime we played a game, he was docked (a certain) amount of money, and when we're playing three games a week, he just couldn't stand that any longer. He couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore. He was disappointed with the way things were handled with the league and with the PHPA."
Couldn't agree more with Stewart about this, I still feel Brad got the shaft.
As far as the PHPA goes, I have no idea what transpired there so I'll withhold comment.

I loved Mac when he was here.
This really sucks. Just wish the Frankes would have kept him here, and maybe not have brought some of the nonsense they brought in here.
Maybe Mac wouldn't be in this position if he had been a Komet still.....but you can't say for sure.

And yeah, the Mac deal is a sad one. It's just a shame to see someone lose a career like this, especially one of ours.
I won't say much Ill just say Mac got jerked around by Colorado since day 1..empty promise after empty promise...I hope for the best for Mac and his family
