Coming back to play a vital role in the playoffs after suffering a broke hand may have cost forward Brad MacMillan. MacMillan said his right hand is not healing correctly and may need surgery.
“I started having problems when I started driving up here,” MacMillan said from his home in Fairbanks, Alaska. “I just thought the pain might be part of the healing process, but it kept getting worse.”
MacMillan has consulted with a hand specialist who said he may need a plate and screws surgically inserted into the hand, which, MacMillan said, he was told could speed up the healing process. If surgery is required, MacMillan said he'll have it done in Fort Wayne. He hopes to re-sign with the Komets.

Mac with a metal plate in his hand to add on to his already lethal blows? SIGN HIM!
That hand might be borderline illegal. i feel sorry for his challengers, it might feel like getting hit with a sledgehammer now instead of a hammer.
I just hope it does not end his playing days. It sure could end his fighting and that is his forte. He would not be the Mac we know if he couldn't play his game. Good Luck! "Mighty Mac"!
I don't know, I thought he did a lot more when he wasn't able to play "his game" during the playoffs. I love watching him fight, but he seemed a lot more valuable when he wasn't able to because he was concentrating on doing other things that led to more pucks in the net for the Komets.
I def think he showed a different side of himself during the playoffs. I hope he comes back!! I would love to see him on the team :)
He can fight left handed.
