I know Mike Loomis--He is No fool. I sure hope he didn't make a huge mistake. Getting rid of Mike Fahlsing will be a very large step in the right direction. Good Luck to what ever the New Name is!

Seems to me this is like second marriages - "the triumph of hope over experience". It is not obvious to me why ostensibly smart people would undertake such an adventure unless they like burning piles of cash.

Indoor football is an entertaining game. If it is run and promoted properly ( see everything Scott Sproat has done with the Komets), it can be a success in Fort Wayne. The venue is a good one for football, the ticket costs tend to be attractive and the games tend to be high scoring.
The key however.... don't allow this to happen!

We went to a Freedom game last season, and were very entertained by the game. Fast-paced, great talent, could really catch on with the right owners and marketing. It's a great thing to do when there is no Komet games.

Blog Foul! No football talk on the hockey blog, everyone sit in box and feel shame, and if you went on the bus trip you should now understand the "feel shame" line.

I would like to see indoor football succeed in this market, but it is going to take a lot of hard work and some big changes to overcome the bad publicity the team(s) have had in recent years.
Get the right people in the front office, a creative marketing staff and a quality on field product, the fans will come back.

A Gross misconduct?
Is that something like a wardrobe malfunction of the bearded lady at the circus?
