Komets general manager David Franke said he had a couple of irons in the fire, but decided not to go further. Leo Thomas will be back Wednesday and Brandon Warner on Friday. There might have been only one trade in the entire league, sending Steve Later from Texas to Missouri.
Players can still be added to rosters. The European signing deadline is next Monday, and free agents can be added all the way up to the end of the regular season.
Franke also said he's not sure when or if Michael Ratchuk will be returning to the Komets.

Someone posted that Bloomington picked up Rodger. Is there some reason we didn't try to trade Rodger rather than just waiving him? Just curious. Not quite sure why we are waiving players rather than trying to trade, or maybe we are trying to trade and no one is biting. Just to name a few: Narauto, Legault, Rodger.
They actually did try to trade him first, but no one expressed interest. They probably knew the Komets were going to have to release him so why made a deal when you can pick him up for free? For having an 18-team league, I'm surprised at how few trades there are.
way to stay on top of things Blake :)
Thanks Blake. Makes sense. It's the old "Why buy the cow if you can get the milk free!"
Arizona, Bloomington, Dayton, Evansville, and Texas all made trades today.
Sounds like the suspensions are out....some people are going to blow head gaskets...lol
so with leo and cousin warner coming back, whose gone or on ir??
I would say that Mironovic is the likely odd man out on defense (IR, or waive)
I think it really depends on the salary cap though... How much is being added with those 2 players coming back will dictate who gets released or spends some time on the IR...
