Today is the day to honor my Dad.
My emotions are happy, but proud, and yet sad.
My life as the daughter of Big Bob has been,
Filled with surprises and memories time and again.
Let's begin with my favorite -- The Little Blue Man.
I'm sure from the sound of it, I was the only fan.
But each day upon my return from school,
He played that song, which was totally cool.
Family came first, and that was the rule!
I remember the time when I carried the crown,
For the beach queen of Bledsoe's in my little white gown.
And the time Dad hosted our school talent show,
And the joke about cellos and legs that might bow.
And always his voice -- so clear and so strong.
Who could forget his version of "The Hawaiian Wedding Song?"
It played at our wedding -- we couldn't go wrong!
WOWO, the Komets and Bob Chase you see,
Are a trio that gave Fort Wayne history.
I've listened to Dad from near and afar.
"He shoots, he scores!" as I drove in my car.
From the tropical Keys, to State College, PA,
The New York City, I've heard play by play
Hearing Dad's voice always made my day!
My time is nearly up, yet I've only just begun,
To share with all of you, why Dad is No. 1.
He is my hero, my rock, my inspiration, my friend,
His love and support have no beginning and no end.
He makes all of us better just being himself,
His integrity and values give him immeasurable wealth.
Thank you, WOWO for giving my Dad a home,
For 56 years and not once did he roam.
And this is the end of my "Bob Chase Rocks" poem!

Aw, that's sweet. A little cheesy, but very, very sweet. :)
