People, but also one of the nicest is retired FW Police Sergeant Jim "Satch" Crawford who used to work in the Komets' penalty box. EVERYONE respected him, even some of the toughest Komets ever who quickly calmed down when they ran into Satch. He's in poor health and could use some prayers and maybe even a card or two. He's a class act who could scare the bejebers out of someone by not even saying a word. He had the look.
If anyone would like to send him a card, you can A) give it to Dennis Schebig or I at the game, or

I remember Satch well and yes, he did have "the look". I sat behind the penalty box back then and I'm sure he saved us from harm on more than one occasion! My thoughts and prayers are with him. Get well, Satch!
I have known "Satch" for for over 35 years. His heart is as big as his body. A very kind and tender man who you just didn't want to make made. On the police dept. we called him a "cops cop". A giant of a man to work for. One who always (I repeat) always took care of his men. He needs a touch for God. Please remember him is your prayers as I will. One former Komet knows him very well. Isn't that right Bob Phillps?
