It's 4-0 after 1, JR. I think all four Komets goals have been the result of hustle and have come within five feet of the net. Shaf breakaway, DeAngelis driving to the net, MacMillan punching in a rebound and DeAngelis heading to the net again. 20-6 shots in the first. This picture is Frankie's first goal.

And I don't like those Port Huron uniforms. They remind me of the old "generic" store brand labels... you know, the black and white ones that just say "CORN" on them or something like that.

Prayers go out to the family of Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke who lost his son in a car accident in Indiana tonight. People may have read about his son who was openly gay and still heavily involved in hockey

FMM... Sorry you weren't there. I took your seats for the third. So thanks for that! ;)
Mr.S... Whoa. I'm really sorry to hear that. :( Guess I better catch up on the NHL news, but my heart goes out to the Burke family for their sudden and tragic loss.

If we still had Varone we would have got to 10 goals. Boo for releasing him!
GO Hawks! GO!
Sat, 02/06/2010 - 11:39am
I talked to someone from the team after the game and they said they felt sick to their stomach after the 7th goal. I was worried coming in to this game. I hope they can bring their game every night against the tough teams. I still wouldn't of rather been somewhere else than with my team though.

Never mind... I read in the next thread about the interview! :)
Let me say, I liked Varone alot. He was a good player last season, and hurt this season. It is not fair to bash him, nor is it fair for people to question why he was let go. Stats don't lie.

Every season a favorite player is let go and fans question why.. It is the nature of professional sports.
Personally, it's why I cheer for the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back.
