Whether you realize it or not, all of us have learned some of our hockey from Dick Zimmerman. He was the first head of the off-ice officials, coaches for a ton of years at McMillen and basically taught someone along the line who may have taught you some of your hockey knowledge. I know he taught a few of the men who taught me along the way. As Komets' PR director Chuck Bailey said, ``You couldn't talk to Dick for more than five minutes and not learn something.'' He's also the husband of Flossie who ran the ticket office and the Komets office for years.
Dick is in Parkview Hospital and he's struggling for his life. Please include he and his family in your prayers. The Zimmermans are the first family of the Komets.
