Burgee-2 minutes for blogging about cats. Remember we agreed no more "road apples" "tennis" "doggy treats" and/or "cats" It's only two minutes because you might have been under the effect of your medication or the lack of it. Make sure you have a clead head by Wednesday. That is when we get it off the ground. ;)>

You can freeze your butt off? And here I've been running all summer. ;)
As for the forecast, it's not so much the predicted high in the 50s as it is the chance of rain and somewhat breezy conditions. But hey, that's fine Scottish weather for a game that was invented there. :D

Say Schebig, you think i could sit by you in the box wednesday, i am pretty sure the ref could hear me from your seat, if i'm good can i press the horn button on the scoreboard? See if you can get an extra headset installed so i can talk to Larry.

DSchebig, Wendy and I need to know where to find you at the games....to deliver -- uh, items I am unable to discuss on the blog or else I'll be thrown in the penalty box...they have to do with dog biscuits, though....oops. I went and gave myself a penalty. I will feel no shame, however....Wendy's making some for my clients this weekend, and she was wondering how we would find you, and realized neither one of us knows what you look like or exactly where to find you. So when the time gets closer, just let one of us know, ok?
And IcyKometsFan84: the only gold I can play is miniature golf, and even then, I have injured people, so I think I'll just sit this one out. You have fun, though! I'll be freezing in McMillen at Jason's practice. I'll freeze in solidarity with ya!

Oops, I meant to type "golf"....I don't know what game "gold" is....sheesh....I get worse every day, I swear....

Schebig will be sitting right by me in between the penalty boxes, I'll have my road jersey on that says Burgee on the back, I'm a big old boy although 28 Lbs lighter than last year, I did manage to find his look a like picture just throw white facial hair on it and you will recognize him. http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/personalia?ID=8497

Thanks, chuckitt....way to stick up for the ladies! LOL! And Burgee, if you are still tanning, you are more insane than we all thought you were. And that's saying a lot, my friend!
And what, Wendy?! We need to know these things, yes?
Plus, DSchebig, I just found out from my dad that your wife was my mom's roommate in the hospital when she delivered my sister in 1969....remember the guy with the 1968 Firebird? Yep, that was my dad. He probably talked your ear off. What a coincidence!

I don't know who Cuckitt is, but I'm sure he'll appreciate them. Have we been tippling just a little to get ready for the golf tournament?
Blueline Baby, my guess is that Dschebig probably pulled that Firebird over sometime.

Yes, BLB, we need to know those things. But I said subtle... discreet... SUBTERFUGE for crying out loud! Not to mention that if you look at the post above yours, Burgee says "in the box". Now please excuse me as I go back to banging my head against the wall.

Blake, in honor of Chuckitt can you keep an UpChuck tallie for the practices. If no one pukes then they are not getting worked hard enough, if a lot of them puke then they didn't come to camp in shape. We just need to figure what that magical upchuck number is.

Sorry, I've been behind and busy at work. However (and hardly anyone knows this, so don't feel bad, but golf was invented in Japan. I know, I didn't know that until this week either).
JR: I agree, but once the season starts I think everything will whip back onto hockey pretty quickly.
Did everyone watch some hockey Thursday and last night?? Capitals were pretty impressive and Crosby and the Pens look like they could be a force again once they get going.

Well, history is a tangled web if you want to get technical. Wikipedia says that there are those who believe it "originated" anywhere from Rome to China to Persia to Germany. But it also says that the most widely accepted account has the modern game originating in Scotland. Plus I have a Robin Williams YouTube clip that says so. So there. :P LOL

Actually, Wiki is a lot more reliable than it's reputation. I can attest to that. I wrote a page there once. You have to provide reliable sources to back up every single thing you say and document it out the ying-yang because otherwise they'll yank it pretty quickly.
Bruins lead the Hurricanes 1-0. Let's go, Boston!

Wendy--I'll be just outside the Komets dressing room entrance. I am just a big loveable gray haired fuzzball. I get there about 30 min. before the game. I am usually busy before the game but between the periods for sure.
Burgee--If you every get to set with me, operative word IF, you can NEVER, I repeat NEVER, yell at the referee or the linesman. Whoever he is. I must remain professional and that applies to you also. Having said that you may want to reconsider your request.
Blueline Baby--I am sorry to tell you I only remember that firebird. I am trying real hard not to remember my now ex-wife. I have a thing about cars. I most likely out talked your dad that is why he remembers me.

All I know is when I write research papers and articles for publication, if you even have a sniff of getting information on there, you get laughed out of any of the professional circles I deal with. Just for trivial type stuff, maybe it's alright. Anything else, I'd stay away from it. Just a word of advice if you ever need to do real research.
I have both my Crosby and Malkin authentic jerseys ordered and on their way! I will admit though, I'll never wear either of them over my autographed K's jersey. One of the benefits of knowing someone on the inside is getting all the autographs.
I cannot wait for hockey! Does everyone go to the preseason games or do a lot of you wait for the real games? I went to the preseason games last year and I must say, KometsPA, the games definitely aren't the same without you!
