Tailing the Komets

Some notes

Tonight's game will be shown on Comcast Ch. 55 and Verizon Ch. 25 at 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.

Craig Welker is the ref tonight.

Terry Marchant has been scratched tonight and Evgeny Saidachev put into the lineup.

Nick Boucher is starting in goal for the Komets, Clayton Pool for Muskegon.

Some odd stats so far in the series. The Komets have out-shot the Fury 180-78 but the Komets have a .089 shooting percentage compared to .167 for the Fury. That means Muskegon has scored on one of every six shots. Komets goaltender Kevin Reiter has a .850 save percentage. That really says what the defense has been like.

Muskegon has six power-play goals, five scored on five-on-three situations. The Komets have five power-play goals.

Konstantin Shafranov has six shots on goal in four games, Colin Chaulk four in three. Jeff Nelson has eight shots for the Fury and has scored five goals. Dan Riedel is the only Muskegon player with more than 10 shots in the series and he has 17.

The key to the series so far? Muskegon has scored five goals on six five-on-three chances; the Komets have been held scoreless in their one chance.

Saidachev for marchant huh? I like that he is back in the line up and will give us speed, but terry is pretty reliable for the playoffs. Lets hope Evgy give us the extra push we need to over come this fury team!

Go Komets!
