While I applaud the IHL for there stance on expansion, I do feel they have to add at least 2 teams to continue on a 70+ game schedule. If they have only six teams next year they should cut the schedule down and think about having all 6 teams make the play-off's and expand to 3 rounds. By playing each other 17 times it did create some hatred to the mid-point of the season, but after the half-way point I think everyone got tired of playing each other and the guys who did fight got tired of fighting the same guy...I think just like any year there will be a lot of turn over of talent with guys wanting to go to the ECHL or CHL. I think that teams also have to have working relationships with the AHL as a recruiting tool. That way they can attract players to their clubs..

I really enjoyed last year, but this year, with this team and the IHL format, it is even better. Only thing i would change is Hawthorne! I like seeing the other teams as many times as i did.
Maybe i would be comfortable with 8 teams, 10 teams would dilute the schedule a little for my preferences.
I'm not for affiliations at all, don't want to really see a revolving door of players.

Burgee not talking an afflilation agreement, just working agreements so guys like Curadeau can get a look, that is a big selling point to attract players. It helped getting Aquino because of Bingham and he more than likely will get a shot again in the AHL. So I do not want an affiliation agreement just a working agreement...
