Randy Marcom: ``We had a lot of fun. His heart was in it for a long time, and it was never about self-gratification but to introduce new people to the sport if at all possible.''
Michael Franke: ``He loved this. He loved doing the games with Randy. He was always into it. He obviously did not get a lot of renumeration or get rich over this, it was just something he wanted to tdo. He and Randy were a combination that I think people enjoyed for a number of years.
``We can't thank him enough for all the contributions he made to this organization over the years. When you say someone will be missed, it's definitely Tim's face, his smile and his personality will be missed. There won't be anyone like him that has had the passion to do what he did for the last 20-odd years. We're just very grateful for everything he did.''
Tim will be honored by the Komets during the upcoming season.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Hoke family. Thank you for sharing Tim with all of us for so many years. Many times, during many games, I would glance up and be thrilled to see Tim and Randy recording the game, always excited to watch it on the following Wednesday night. Komet nation has lost a great man, a great fan. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul.
I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of respect and care you have all given to Tim and I. He was a wonderful husband for 15 years . I will miss him with all my heart and soul. My regret is that we didn't get to spend his retirement together however I know he's in a better place where he's at and I'm positive there will be some exciting games going on with other hockey fans and players who are there. His passion for the game will go on.....

I've always said, "watching Komet games on Public Access was like going to Snickerz and a hockey game broke out!" But it was more than hockey, sometimes Tim would school us on Civics, which God knows this country needs. And he
would keep us abreast of what the city council was up too also! (lol) Thank you Tim.
I also believe that Tim and Randy and the crew helped a franchise that at one time had only about 1500 die hard fans show up on a consistant basis. That grew to about 3500. It is now probably 6500-7500 every night in large part to Tim Hoke. Thank you Tim.
But also it gave many people who can not get to the Coliseum a chance to participate in the action and electricty that is Komet hockey. Some may be visually impaired
and listen to Mr. Chase on WOWO. But for those that may be hearing impaired and physically unable to attend, they too were part of Komet nation as we boo'd the Lumberjacks, the K-Wings and the hated invaders from the south! Thank you Tim.
They were able to see the original "Bruise Brothers", feel the pain watching the handshakes after the Peoria or Kalamazoo series'. They watched as we all threw our ice scrapers. They could tell when the crowd was chanting "sweep sweep sweep" and got to see Pokey hoisted in the air.
They got see Dusty score and win a cup. They got to see a 19 year old kid take over a leagues entire playoffs, and in triple overtime win the Komets a Turner Cup.
They got to see, as we all did, and for that I say Thank you Tim.
Right now Jack Loos and "Jungle" Jim Amstutz are drawing cards to see who gets to welcome you and Roy is watching over them two, and Hartley is mixing drinks (probably tequila sunrises) and as the sun sets and the sky burns orange we'll know everything is fine.

When I think of Tim I think of the 90's....going to games etc. Tim was one of those guys you just knew when you saw him he would be smiling and glad to talk to you. I also look back to the old section 1 days when we were rockin up there and Tim and Randy giving us good "air time." The fan in the stand interviews were great also that Tim did along with Mark Gaavart. I havent seen Tim in many years but with his passing I was reminded of how great the 90's were and how much a part of it he was. Thanks for the memories.
Tim and Randy also sounded the same in 2010 as they did in 1991...that was what made that duo special. I watched them a lot the past 10 years and it was just like those early days when hearing Tim say..."Cross-check by Mokasak ! Absolute total goon hockey on the part of Indianapolis !!" It made it fun to turn them on. It was a great 22 years of komets hockey on public access.
