I think my frustration as many others on here probably share is that on the surface this looks like a safe move for the Frankes. They were the ones that promoted the idea of "We are only bringing back 4 players from last season" "We are looking to get younger, quicker, faster, and have more scoring".
So when they keep announcing the same old crew....alot of us get frustrated with these announcements. Not so much as to who the players are personally, just that it isn't who they said it would be.
And I know they say there will be most certainly with no doubts..wink, wink.....competition in camp for roster spots with no one guaranteed to just be on the team.
I do admit I am skeptical of that. As many others probably are as well.
With saying all that...I like Leo Thomas. I think he is a very good hockey player at this level when he brings it on the ice....I like to see him fired up and he can seriously dominate games when the effort is there.
Same as PC.....when the effort is there he too can be dominate. But is the effort always there to want to dominate?
I just don't want to see floaters. Period.
Just my opinion of course.
I really hope that guys like Thorne, Krug, and the whole lot of young guys they have brought to camp get an honest shot at making the team. I would like to see a good mix of players this year. I am like Snuff in that I want to see some hungry players.
My favorite moments at Komet hockey are those shifts where say a 3rd line dominates 2 minutes of play by busting their tails off and keeping the puck in the offensive zone by taking the body and making the other team chase the puck...the energy level is high and the crowd feeds off of that, and vice versa.
I think you guys know what I mean.
Good Luck to Leo. I think we will have a great team this season.

My guess is that next week they announce that Apod will be back and the addition of two other players. both hopefully scoring forwards.

Maybe not prolific scoring forwards but two guys that come to mind that put of decent numbers...Matt Summers and Nick Sirota. Some Mavericks fans don't think Sirota will be re-signed especially if the rumors are true that they'll be signing Thinel. And summers was 2 goals shy of 30 last season on a so-so Riverkings team.

Love the advertising of the Free T-Shirt....I won't mention the name on it....it might make steam come out of Blake's ears.....even though he doesn't like the nickname, it isn't meant to be bad or ill-willed. I gotta have one of those shirts.
I would have Sir Colin Chaulk sign it...LOL

Just an FYI.
According to Inside Dakata Sports on 8/13. They reported that Ryan Menei ( 39 goals, 48 assists for 87 points and a +25 plus/minus), has decided to and signed with an Italian team instead of returning to the Rush.

Ok, I have slept on things.
I have always been a Leo Thomas fan.
