That's why trailing by one goal they got five shots in the third, or why the power play went 0-9. We could go round and round. My point was everyone seems to be jumping on the D alone when it's the whole 18-man roster. How many times have they scored one goal at home of late? Why is your leading scorer getting a 4:00 penalty with 4:26 left in a tied game? Yes, I realize he got head-butted by Lovell. Why is your captain getting minors when the only other D-men are rookies? I know he's playing 40 minutes a night but you just can't do that. You just can't, and Guy would be the first one to say so. They had nine power plays for crying out loud. How many good chances did they get on those? Four maybe? And didn't most of those come from shots from the point? How many times did PH get shots from the high slot off plays in the offensive zone? That's not the D-men's responsibility when they are covering guys down low. The forwards all need to step up.

I don't disagree with you on the 18 man roster, but part of the D-man problems is there are all the same...WE need some one who can play a phyiscal game, take guys out in front of the net, make a forward pay a price in the corners etc...You talk about our forwards not going into the corners maybe it is because they don't want to get pounded on. Mac and Gravelle will go into the corners with purpose and that is it. How long can Franke and Sims look at this roster and say no changes when they continue to lose at HOME...That has to be a given that 95% of the time you WIN at home and right now we are not. There is no enery and to read comments like Sims thinking that the K's carried the play most of the game is really surprising because the game was boring no enery and I thought Port Huron won all the battles that conunted not the K's. Injuries play a part of any season but at some point you have got to find ways to make your club better even if it means giving up some quality players. Right now Osman is a guy I would be floating around to get a D-Man or even Varone.
