I don't know, JM. I haven't seen the guys in the locker room this excited about a new player in a long time. Schrock told me he has NHL offensive skills that should really be showcased on the big ice. Unless you're rather see Warner back in the lineup, perhaps? LOL.

I thought Ratchuk looked great! Sure would prefer him playing in Fort Wayne than sitting on the bench in Springfield.

Ratchuk looked pretty dang good to me.

He does alot of little things very well like poke-checking the puck and he passes to the stick perfectly.

I can't remember seeing a defensemen that could skate as well as this kid.

But I agree with JM.....Lardner is a hockey stud!!!

And we got him for just about nothing. Pick-up of the year.....Lardner is my MVP.

OC is looking pretty darn good out there.....And I saw that #94 is starting to motor up......

The Komets have the potential right now to put the hammer on this league.

Anyone notice how afraid Dayton was tonight to skate close to Mirasty.....no one wanted anything to do with him, and the Komets were able to skate all over the ice without having to worry about anything much at all.

Anyone else see Mirasty put his hands behind his back and beg someone to take the first punch???

Schrock blasted one of the Gems at the end of the game.....Gratz didn't have the nads to put McCue on the ice at all when Mirasty was out there, or after Schrock took a shot at the Gems.

Can't remember a Komet team where the opposition was scared to death to mix it up.

Ratchuk plays the neutral zone as well as any D-man I have seen in years. He doesn't hesitate when he has the puck and he gets it up the ice in a hurry which sets up the offense beautifully.

Leo looked awful fiesty in this one too....wonder if somebody from Dayton got under his collar a little. Great night by everybody.

That was absolutely hilarious. I would love to hear what Mirasry is saying to them. When he got in McIntires face at the end Mirasry was talking and all the gems were laughing. Let's Mic this guy some night. Ha.

Leo had 2 cheap ones called on him. First was trying to deflect the puck down and got called for a high stick. The other was digging the puck out in front of the K's bench and that trip. Both horrible calls. Not impressed with officiating

I got a feeling if they mic'd Mirasty they would need awhile to censor it beforenit could be made public haha

Mirasty is definitely a showman. He puts both hands behinds his back and politely requests a dance, and still no takers. Dayton wanted no part of him. They would barely make eye contact with him. He skated more in this game that he has so far to date. He is definitely not a liability on the ice. Would like to have seen some more Mirasty checking, but it probably would have resulted in a penalty. This particular ref only had penalty vision for Fort Wayne. Some very weak calls against Fort Wayne while he was obilvious to many Dayton infractions. Oh well, we can even score shorthanded 5 on 3. Way to go K's.

Ratchuk looks awesome. Hope we get to keep him for rest of year. And the play Lardner made to score the shorthanded 5 on 3 was beautiful. Good game by all tonight. It was also a cool intro about Mirasty. Its good to see the Komets showcase players to show those players that Komets fans will love you and FW is a great place to play hockey. Was kinda shocked they announced the attendance at only 7900 or so. It sure looked fuller than that to me. It looked about 9000. Oh well it was a nice crowd who got to see a good game by the Komets. Lets keep it up.

Ratchuck won the 4th star for mental attitude. Whine, go to the lockerroom, whine. Everytime he got touched he was in the ref's ear.

Yeah, he can move the puck.

I'll go one step further, he moves the puck as well as anyone on the ice, both sides included. He is as close to an NHL player we will ever see here JM.

Great game. This was the first game we could make it to this year and brought our 3yo to her very first game (she loved it). Speaking of that, I'd like to give a big fat JEER to the usher down by the glass in 220,222. I took our daughter up to the glass during warmups so she could see the players and was told we couldnt stand there. We werent even in front of any seats and not in anybodys way.

I agree about the officiating (couldn't believe how much crap Dayton got away with), also loved the Mirasty intro.

Drouin (Hit's new favorite Buddy!!!) was an "NHL" player.....

JR1 I'm sure Ratchuk will get a least a few games in the show just like PC ;)

Ratchuck got his head almost taken off by a high stick and nothing called. Took his helmet off and knocked him to the ice, so he gave the ref a few words to think about. Would rather see that then him sitting for 5 or more for a retaliation.

Not sure about that..... While he has good tools, his size isnt helping him any and the fact that they dont seem to know where to play him hurts too... He listed as a LW on Springfields roster; but a D-man for the K's...

The NHL for years have coveted big D-men, and Ratchuk isnt what I would call big... Small guys who make it arent normally sent down to the AA league's. They have the "blow your socks off" skills and stay at the AAA level...

I'm not saying he wont or cant; but I wouldnt bet on it...

Ratchuck was -1 with 0 points and 0 shots on goal. He's a pretty skater, but all this praise seems a bit premature.

Lardner is a stud, referee sucked, Dayton is a bunch of chickens. :)

Ratchuk has forced Warner to the IR.....

He is all right in my book....LOL

(joking, not intended to get anyone's panties in a knot)...

It was one game at home.....he looks like he has a good skill set, he played great on the road for us during the Southern Trip.

I agree...let's not crown him king yet....

But also, let's not automatically flush him down the crap hole too.

Deep Breaths......

PC is my Buddy!!!! Love that guy.

Jm i would much rather have Ratchuk than not! Skates well not afraid of physical part. Guy is AHL caliber. Give him the benifit of the doubt. Is there a better d man in the stands??

I'm not saying he's bad. I'm just not saying he's the best defenseman on the ice.
