Playing without Curadeau and knowing Boucher was banged up, the Komets got out-shot 46-19 and still won 5-3 in Port Huron. Dominic Osman had the hat trick and has scored nine goals on 26 shots in four games this season.

Osman is on fire. He better slow it down a little. He will be called up next week too and the Komets will have no one left to score goals. He is our only sniper. He plants himself squarely in front of the net and cleans up all rebounds into the net. Some of our other forwards need to take notes on how this kid positions himself in the right place in front of the net. Aquino did this too, as did Bobby Stewart, and for a while Jonathon Goodwin was good at camping out in front and making a killing on rebounds. DAB was good at this as he had awesome hands. You don't see too many guys able or willing to get in front of the net, but Osman is doing it perfectly and it will eventually get him called up. It is a bitter-sweet thing, the goals are good for us now, but he will get noticed by the AHL and beyond. Great job Osman!!!
Blake, are you hearing any talk of Defensemen on the way or being searched for? Our weakness right now is strong defensemen as we are giving up lots of good chances. The opposition is skating circles around most of our D-Men. Our Goalie situation will only get worse if they have to continue standing on their heads after odd man rushes and giveaways in our zone time after time. We can't continue to give up 45+ shots and most of them being great looks. Would be nice to see our AHL connections send us a guy or two...
couldnt of said it better myself, hit somebody!!!!!!! welcome back osman!!

Everybody and their brother are looking for defensemen right now because there aren't any, which is why the Komets decided to keep eight out of training camp. You aren't going to like this, but your best bet might be to work with the young D-men they have and help them improve, and Al Sims is pretty good at that.
nope you are right blake i dont like the idea of the fact of staying with the d-men we have cause really none of them are doing that bang up of a job and dont see them getting any better need the vets on "D"!!!!!!!!
