Well, some of us did, on Sunday in Muskegon when Brandon Warner set up Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock's third-period goal. That's the first time Fort Wayne natives have scored or assisted on the same goal for the Komets.
Most of the Fort Wayne natives have been goaltenders: Chris Wright, Rick Wynn, Joe Franke and Brian Gratz, and Ron Ullyot never played with another player from the Summit City. John Baldasarri and Colin Chin played 20 games together at the start of the 1986-87 season but never hit together on the score

It was fun to watch, I agree. This will be a GREAT trivia question someday.
is lincoln kaleigh shrock (name)the american version of french canadien hockey players? kind of like piere claude drouin . are we suppose to call him lincoln, kaleigh or L.K. shrock.
The only ft. wayne natives that i can think of that even have points are ullyot, chin, warner , shrock, baldisarri and potts
Wonder if Potts and Warner ever hooked up on the scores sheet??? I guess not, that would have been too obvious.
tantardini--Lincoln Shrock is Kaleigh's father. A very nice man. He worked for the City of Fort Wayne for a lot of years.
Hit-No other Fort Wayne natives played with Ron Ullyot. Chin played over ten years. It included about 20 games with John Baldisarri. John only had 4 assists during that time. I think Potts was activated after Warner went on the IR list last year. That pretty much means it has to be Schrock & Warner.
I still think this will be a great TRIVIA question. Part#2 Who won the game & where was it played? Part#3 What was the score?
I thought Warner was a Huntertown native.
yea cant really be a fort wayne native when your not from fort wayne. as of now huntertown is still not apart of fort wayne
Born in a Fort Wayne Hospital.
I stand corrected then, Dschebig. Thank you.
I was just going from the information on the Komet website that had Huntertown listed as his place of birth.
What would it have meant if he was born in Waynedale before 1956?
It'd mean that you'd have to be really old to know Waynedale wasn't a part of Fort Wayne until 1956? What if he was born in the Old Fort on its original site on Wells Street, not the false location on Spy Run? Or maybe the other location of the 2nd fort on the south side of town? Good times lol :)
That is a can of worms I will pass on!
his name is kaleigh he has gone by that since at least grade school
When he was at Snider he went by Lincoln, and then at Newmann he was Kaleigh. I asked him what he wanted to be called and he said Lincoln Kaleigh so that's why it is. I myself prefer Schrocky Balboa, but copy desk has problems with that one.
So how come I see Lincoln tacted onto his name in the newspaper and such? I know it isn't on the Komets website.
I get around that by simply saying "the Fort Wayne area". Generally, when someone asks me where I'm from, I say "Fort Wayne" simply because no one who isn't from around here will probably have heard of Grabill. But our house wasn't actually in Grabill. And I went to school in Leo. But I was born in Fort Wayne, so... What were we talking about again?
er... TACKED on
