I'm kinda torn on this one. I'd like to see Flint only because of everything they have gone through this season (and last!). They stepped it up the last couple months of the season and got really hot, second only to the Komets. However, they were the only team all season that seemed to have the K's number and played very well against us. Hopefully that would not still be a problem for the K's. On the other hand, I'd really like to stick it to the Lumberjacks. I don't like losing home ice advantage, but it would probably give me more satisfaction to beat Muskegon and retain the Cup here in the Fort. So...it doesn't really matter which team we play. I believe the K's will keep the Cup! Go K's!!!

Flint! We should all want home ice. I dont care about how we have played against them this year. If we play like we did our last 3 games, theres not a chance of us losing the series.

I'd really like to play Flint as well. I think they are better as of late than Muskegon, and I'd rather beat the best to win the cup. I agree with Justin about home ice as well.

First I want to congratulate the Fort Wayne Komets on, not only their win last night, but the remarkable come back they made after period one of game five. Last night's game was one for the memory bank as they just blew right by Port Huron during the first five minutes in the game.

Congratulations guys.

Do I have a preference on who they play. Yes, I'd like them to face Flint. My reasoning may be different than most on this. I know that by playing Flint we would have the home ice edge. While that is mighty important that isn't the main reason. I guess I just don't want Muskegon to take the Turner Cup because they are abandoning the league. While it may be true that Flint is in trouble, their owner would love to have a partner to keep pro hockey in Flint. Muskegon's owners, on the other hand, actively searched for other alternatives. I hope they aren't rewarded with a championship. I hope they go home early.

I like watching the Komet/muskegon battles but would have to go with Flint because of the home ice advantage.

I'l will go with Flint for the reason everyone has stated above. Beside I just don't like Muskrats!

I wouldn't mind seeing us play the likes of a team from the AHL or ECHL. At least the play for something that has a little history. We play for something that is made up.

I would rather face Muskegon, based on the fact that I believe Flint has the stronger goaltending duo and Flint had our number the second half of the regular season... I also think Muskegon has the weaker Defense...

Hockey Fan--Are you really a "hockey" fan? Take a few minutes and look up the history of the hero the Turner Cup is named after. While I'll admit it's not Lord Stanley's Cup it is still very important to the players who are playing for it. They pay a huge physical price every game to win it.

Flint=because I feel sorry for them :(

Muskegon. Because i dont like them, and that beating them will, i think, will feel more satisfying. The team who's been in front most of the season vs the feel good story. Flint makes you not hate them as much because of their story.I dont like Muskegon and they don't like us. We should send them off with a proper butt-whoopin'.

My only request is - Can we have Luxmore as the ref for every game? I thought he did a great job last night. He let the boys play and only called what really needed to be called. Everyone in favor, say I!!! Go K's!!!

I would like to see The KOMETS face Flint hopeing Musk-Flint goes 7 games. That way who comes to us is well tenderised and tired. T.J.Luxmore did himself well in the calling of last night's game. Let them skate, hit , and bang up the boards. Only fault not checking with the goal judge in the second period. We who set in 228 saw both shots in over the goal line and back out.GO KOMETS!!!!!!!!!! LETS THREE PEAT

Flint for all the reasons stated above. Also it would be more of an insult to Muskegon if they're taken out of the playoffs by the team that lost the finals then making it to the finals.

I'm torn on this one too....man, I'd love to see the look on Muskegon's faces when we beat them in the Turner Cup games, but then again, I'd love to see the looks on their faces now when Flint does too. Of course....I guess I'd rather it be us who beats Muskegon than them. I'll especially enjoy beating Bouchard and his band of thugs for that incident I still have not forgiven or forgotten from October. Man, do I miss Shafranov....I hope he's watching when we win.

Dave W--The video shows that Luxmore made the right calls. NO GOALs. He was right on top of them. In perfect position.

Hockey Fan I totally do not agree with you at all! Like Dennis said look up the history!! Joesph A. Turner was a Canadian war hero who gave the cup before there was ever a ECHL. Playing the AHL champ.....never going to happen guy as they have way to much to lose in something like that. If you dont like the IHL stay home and watch the ECHL on the boob tube. Now I want to play Flint since they really fought hard to make the playoffs as Musky loaded their payroll trying to buy the Turner Cup. Musky has won their share of titles so Flint is it! Feel sorry for the Musky fans ONLY. Komets win the 3peat.

History has been made..... For the first time in history sports bloggers are actually suporting the on-ice officals. I can say that I have seen it all...

As for the finals I want Flint. I'm just curious to see if Savage will die of a heart attack.

Langdon and his partner have called a ton of penalties but they had to.
Game three featured a line brawl, a goalie getting run, a player suspended for shoving an official and two other players suspended as well.

You're probably right JM so let him bask in our good graces for now. Oh, he probably isn't aware of the good feelings being bestowed on him.

The Windsor Spitfires become the first OHL team since the early 1990's to win back to back OHL champions by sweeping the first place overall Barrie Colts 4 games to zero. This comes on the heals of the Spitfires becoming only the third team in OHL history to come back from 3 games to zero to win a series when they pulled it off against Kitchener to get to the finals.
Langdon and his partner did a great job of calling a ton of penalties early to let the players know that there would be no repeat of the game three mess. Last two periods had great flow.

Hockey Fan, I have no idea how old you are but by now you should realize how ridiculous your comments were. Dschebig has tried to educate you on the history of the IHL's greatest trophy and Tim Hoke encouraged you to look it up. Maybe you should have done that before you posted.

When was the last time there were two seven-game series to decide who would be in the finals?
