Tailing the Komets

Wow, this is ugly

This has been by far the most boring game of the season, and that's saying something.

Why are you bringing Warner up? Are you trying to start another thread that you will shut down because of the Warner debate? And dont give me the "too easy" line again, thats a copout...

The Komets ought to be ashamed of themselves! What a way to welcome back Colin Chaulk. You guys embarasses us tonight. Hope you're happy.

When are the K's going to make some wholesale changes? They have stuck with it had little to no success..Was I reading this correct that Evansville was like 1-7-2 over the last 10 games

They lost?? But how??? The new leadership was going to turn things around. The 1 shot on goal was a thing of beauty that we will always remember.

Thank God that game is over. I had to be woke up by a red coat after the game

Tongue in cheek comment to illustrate that one man no matter how much of a leader is not going to wave the magic wand and fix things.
I am on the record that I didn't want him back and certainly don't agree with slapping the C on his shirt. But he is here, and still is a talented player. I just hope he doesn't tarnish his legacy in the eyes of fans who expect him to transform this flawed roster into a winner simply with fireside lockeroom speeches and hustle.

Give me a break! No one expects Chaulker to be a miracle worker overnight. After tonight's performance, he's got his work cut out for him though. I'd give him couple more games to whip 'em into shape.

I agree with the assessments posted so far but would like to say I can't remember the last time I saw a game with the number of posts and crossbars hit by Komet shots as there were tonight. An inch or two difference would have resulted in a different outcome. After the first period I thought, "pretty soon some of these have to start going in". Didn't happen for us, did for them.

Neither team played great. I thought the Komets were fighting the puck all night, the bounces didn't go thier way. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day, and a new game. GO KOMETS

We hit some posts and crossbars, but the energy, grit, and determination certainly wasn't there. We were slow, and sloppy, not fast, tenacious, and menacing. Evansville wasn't that good, we just couldn't control the puck, or the flow of the game. Everyone deserves part of the blame for this fiasco, Sims included.

What I have seen so far this season is the komets are simply not playing smart hockey. They would rather bump into another player with the puck rather then hit him hard and knock him off the puck or lay him out with a big hit. They pass up so many good chances to give a big hit that it ends up costing them a goal or an opposing odd man break. They just do not want to do what it takes to win. They just want to win with the least amount of effort they can give.

We fought the puck all night missed a lot of passes hung poor Kevin out several times. Chaulker played well, need to get every one on the same page. Go Komets!!

This was worse than ugly. Looked like we had never played before. Reminded me of the first of the season. Going through that once was enough. Come on K's, get your stuff together. So many post and crossbar hits, so little checking, so many bad passes, so many whiffed shots. Hope we got it all out of our system. Turn it on and let's go!

Simply making the point JR, that it's obvious from tonight that Warner is not the problem. There are some major, major holes on defense.

I fault the lines tonight. I am taking a different angle on things....

I think Chaulk should have been on a line where you have a couple of good goal scorers.

Here are my lines for tomorrow night: Al, pay attention...LOL

Chaulk, Lardner, Apod
Curadeau, PC, Patrosso
Musselwhite, Francis, OC

How can we expect they team to look good when we have so many changes from game to game? They have played better the past few games because they were on the same lines and knew what each other was going to do. With so many guys out, they had to change every line. Let's get healthy, get the guys on set lines, and start taking it to the other teams. I can't wait to see three lines that have gelled. Put Chaulk/Tab/Leo on three different lines and keep the pressure on the other team bringing the puck up the ice. Those guys never stop!

It's beyond funny how much we panic from game to game...I think I heard Chaser say we have 8 more games vs E-ville and 5 games in hand to make up 6 pts...I like our chances!

Blake, Warner is ONE of the problems on defense; but he is on the IR (a place he spends alot of time on). We all know you will defend Warner no matter what; but geez, give us a break already...

I've been trying to tell anyone who would listen that the D wasnt as good as people were saying. Our goalies have had more to do with us staying in games than the defense up until recently. There are 2, maybe 3 guys I would keep on defense and move the rest. Too slow, holding the puck too long, "home run" passes, and the unwillingness to move people from around the net is killing this team and will continue to...

To paraphrase a movie:

"Ya lollygag the puck around the ice, ya lollygag the puck on your line changes, ya lollygag the puck on your power play. What does that make us?"

"Lollygaggers"

"Whats are record?"

"9-15-3"

JR1, hate ta tell ya Warner is not one of the problems, the problem starts with Dave Franke, Al Sims, Gary Graham, PC Drouin, Matheau Curdeau. Danko Mironovic, lazy stupid people, that will never change this team will never improve much till they oust these people. But Dave don't want to spend to much money will cut in to his eating money.
