Tailing the Komets

Just missed!

This backhand by the Komets' Kaleigh Schrock was deflected by Wheeling goaltender Peter Delmas and landed on top of the net during the second period Sunday. The Komets have out-shot the Nailers 36-18, but it's still 0-0.

Poor LKS... He''s so snakebitten. He's just gripping the stick too tight. He's trying so hard. He's bound to finish on one of these opportunities. He's just not getting the support of his linemates....

Ok, those are the used up excuses. Who's got a new one for Ol' Schrocky Balboa?

I will man up.  JM is right.  Time to cut the cord with LKS.  The team expected him to produce offensively to some degree and he hasn't.  He's not the only one however.  I'm sure there will be wholesale changes if this team falls short of the playoffs.  But I think the changes should start at the top, with the coach.  Time for a new voice in the room...

Does the name on my drivers license make the opinion I stated any more or less valid? Nope.

Funny how some leash legnths are different depending on your user name around here. The fact of the matter is many people on this blog know exactly who I am. In fact I'm one of the few bloggers that's had their name printed along side their blog screenname.....when I coined the term "Schrocky Balboa". It's not like I've made a career of bashing LKS, but his performance this season can't be overlooked. I know he's the hometown kid, he's probably a great guy. His family (especially his mom) all seem like great people. That doesn't earn you a pass for life when you fail to meet expectations on the ice. Sorry if you don't like that, Ron. I'm not sure if your challenge to "man up" will have a part two, but I know I'll be looking forward to it.

I didn't realize that Schrock was a one man team! I totally get it now, this is the reason we are not winning games, because Schrock is expected to do it all! Got it!

Dear Janice,

This particular thread on the blog is discussing a shot that was "just missed" by none other that LKS. So yes, Schrock discussion will probably follow when he is the topic of the blog entry.
