I guess I wouldn't mind if Reiter came back but I think Jeff Deslauriers is doing pretty good at this point. I think the constant swapping of goalies is hurting the team to some degree. The goalies arent able to "get comfortable" and build up any consistancy. I mean, Bouch used to play almost every game.

Zapolski's statistics are terrific, that's for sure. I guess my message would be to go hard to the net, all night long. Make him uncomfortable.
In reality all the rest of the Komet games are like "playoff" games. They can't afford to lose games and have a chance to reach the playoffs. They must play aggressively in the attacking zone, while playing conservatively in the defensive zone.
I still think that they should bring in Mickey Lang from Quad City. I know he's not the biggest guy in the world, but he can score. Check his stats and then read the article above and how much the offense has let the team down. Could be the worst Komet team ever in terms of scoring. By the way, Lang is from the United States. (Shouldn't be visa problems, right)?
I'm not sure of the CHL playoff system and how many teams make it. With Quad City's record it doesn't appear they would last long, even if they did qualify.
Which brings me to one last point. Remember how many posts were on this blog about the "joke" that the IHL and CHL playoff systems were with only one team being eliminated? Seems funny to me that those same people haven't uttered a word regardibg the ECHL. Six of the Eastern Conference teams get eliminated, while only one of the Western Conference teams get the ax. There should be a more equitable solution to this, even if a couple of teams' have to cross over.

The South Carolina Stingrays not only have Ryan Zapolski, but also Jeff Jakaitis, the reigning ECHL goalie of the year. Jakaitis had a season ending injury last season and didn't start playing until December this season, so he hasn't played enough minute to be put on the top goalie stats yet.
