Indiana Tech introduced Frank DiCristofaro on Monday as the coach of the Warriors’ men’s ice hockey team, which will begin competition in fall 2014.
DiCristofaro was previously head hockey coach at Wayne State University. Prior to that position he was associate head coach at St. Clair Shores High School in St. Clair Shores, Mich. He holds a USA Hockey Level 4 Coaching Certification.
His professional playing experience as a forward includes time with the Detroit Hitmen (AAHL), the Detroit Dragons (AAHA), and the Chi-Town Shooters (AAHA). He played collegiately at Wayne State University.
Indiana Tech announced its plans to add a men’s ice hockey team in June. The Warriors will play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The university will recruit student-athletes for a 40-man roster to begin play in fall 2014. Potential opponents include Davenport University, Lawrence Tech, Aquinas College, Calvin College, and Hope College.
