im with jr if what they did sat was suppose to be new and exciting then they got big problems. i thought the off ice presentation ws taking a step backwards! music was not inspiring, the so called fan interactrion was terrible, you couldnt hear any fans on the mic and the presentation of twitter on the scoreboard was really silly....if it was big enuff so someone could read it then who really cares what someone more worried about texting (instead of watching the game)thought? and the player stats were so small you couldnt read it specially on the ends when you have to look thru neting which reminds me, all the fan giveaways are silly when both ends cant get involved because you cant throw anything threw or over the net(oh yeh, one jeep girl came up and threw a couple things over into one section and that was it.. whoopie) i cant say i remember ever hearing any organ music either and i have to say it was the worse pre game opening night series of events in a long time. the owners werent even at the escalators welcoming fans, which i always thought was a class act. and they introduced the starting lineup and didnt say anything about the rest of the guys like in the past when they told fans where they were from ect.....and where was icy in the begining or in the first period? like i said it seemed like they were cutting back instead of doing something new and exciting. as far as the team and the game, ithought they played hard and came back strong! the only negative about the play is i thought they got out hit and the komets didnt finish checks. toledo offense kinda did what ever they wanted.

Chuckitt is totally right. I thought it was a boring opening night and I have seen at least 45 of them. Maybe you can try again and also get that stupid twitter junk off the jumbo tron...

Lackluster opening night compared to those past. I enjoyed seeing the former players come out as always. I really missed the "Welcome to the Jungle" intro and the Komet logo spotlights on the ice. Usually seems to get the crowd pumped up. Some of the new games/trivia stuff/jumbo-tron stuff seemed to be pretty bad. Some of it was the mic problems, some of it may have been the girl doing it. Maybe bring back Billy Elvis or the the other radio guy for that stuff. Glad they kept the zamboni race as that seems to be popular but the Icy pump-it-up and the trampoline one were pretty lame. They really pushed the Twitter thing. I came to watch a hockey game, not read everyones comments (not that you could read them anyways). The addition of the stats were good but also hard to see.
