Apart from the Schrock story, the ECHL transaction page lists a tryout signing for the Komets.
Brad Walch, a defenseman, has signed the agreement. He is 6'1", 211lbs. Played with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL. Has some nice things in his team biography.

Let's hope Schrock returns to the form he had a couple years ago. It's not like he's going to score, hopefully he can mix it up defensively and earn that veterens paycheck.

I think you all may know how I feel. I've made things pretty clear in the last few posts.
In the hope that I'm totally wrong, I kind of pondered about Schrock, his year last season, and how many goals I think would make a pretty successful year for him.
I came up with the figure of fifteen goals. I think he can achieve it because its a fair target.
I'm going to take him for his word that injuries, his condition when the season started, and the fact that his production was nothing at all in the first twenty two games last year all contributed greatly.
Here is something that may be the most important fact of all. All through the preseason he has been listed on the third line with Auger and Fleming. My thought is that with those two guys, his chances will increase and his productivity will rise. If they are on the same line, he may be a better player.
I hope so. What do you think?

Schrock needs to worry about NOT scoring goals this season and I believe he will be more successful... If he goes hard into the corners, agitates, and crashes the net, he will pick up some of those garbage points that are always available every game...

I have to agree with you there JR. Schrock could be good at getting those ugly garbage goals. He needs to concentrate on being the 3rd line agitator instead of a 1st line veteran scorer. I think if he puts his mindset away from finding the perfect shot on goal the garbage goals will find him. No shame in that withe, Goals are goals.

Studying your comments JR and Zixzing, I can't say that I'd disagree. Going into the corners, crashing the net are things that all the forwards should do. Garbage goals are great with me. The scoreboard doesn't care what kind of goals are scored.
But, and this brings up the original subject, being an agitator is something a lot of players can do.
With Vaskivuo gone, more scoring is needed from everybody...and Schrock is one guy who needs to raise the level of all parts of his game.

Garbage Goal...No such thing.
Kyle, you are absolutely correct.
