Once again Komets are dominating shots and chances, but nothing in front. Not seeing a ton of physical play, either. It's almost like Las Vegas is sucking them into playing the Wranglers' game.

Playing very well defensively, keeping control of the puck and keeping the Wranglers in their own zone. Shots were 17-7 during the first period. One screw up on a defenseman getting back that led to a 2-on-1 or it would be 2-0.

Fairly obvious why both of these teams have trouble winning...neither can stay out of the box...

I think this was a very important game for the K's. Scoring four times has to be a relief, of sorts, to Coach Graham. Again, only allowing one goal. Four goals in the last three.
Remember when Auger and Fleming were just considered third liners? Where would the K's be without them?
Listened to the radio broadcast tonight. Did I hear correctly? Did Chuck Bailey say that Merv Dubchak played in the fifties? If he did say that, then no wonder that Shane couldn't get the answer. With trivia, you really need to have your facts straight.
Here's a question relating to Merv Dubchak. Who broke his IHL record of 72 goals in a season?
Answer: Gary Ford of Muskegon.

Alan, make sure you pass down your sagas to us 2nd, 3rd generation komet fans. I love the history. My dad was born a year after the Ks were born, so I'm missing a decade of k hockey. Keep talking! :)

Not to nitpick, but Dubchak's record was broken by Daniel Lecours of the Milwaukee Admirals.

Daniel LeCours was was a great little skater. Very quick for a guy who was about 5'9" or 5'10". on skates. He was a threat everytime he had the puck. Lots of fun to watch play even if it was the otherside.
