I think he will get better with more ice time with the team. He had flashes but there were times it looked like the forwards were expecting a pass and he decided to bring it into the zone himself only to dump it once he got to the blue line. He has speed for sure, and seemed like a good pairing with Pepin. And Pepin looked very solid for being out as long as he was.
This was my first game in person after watching the road games on TV, and was impressed with the forechecking and passing. Just couldn't finish unfortunately
I thought Southorn played a very solid game and it was a good trade. Now they need to learn how to hold a lead. We had so many chances we didnt cash in on tonight. We need to tweek the 3rd line to get some scoring out of them. Over all it was a good game to watch. GhQ8E
I thought Southorn looked good. Two way skills + a little edge to his play (his MMA throw down in front of our goal was classic Fletcher).
PK was very strong + PP was fine, I just think that our "main" skill players are on the small side. They use alot of energy against bigger players all night and tend to wear down late in the game. We need to have the third line guys cover more minutes + be more productive on special teams so that whole team is stronger/fresher late in the 3rd period.
