Watching on America One, this has to be one of the smallest and quietest crowds I've ever seen for a pro hockey game. It's amazingly small, and you can tell when somebody sneezes.

I did hear a group of people cheering "Let's go KOMETS !" towards the middle of the second period.
The Jackels are not the Jackels of old where you would see rough and tough hockey in their barn. The ownership there is a mess in a lot of ways. Not watching from the pure fact not expecting much of anything in terms of the type of game I like to watch. And by the box score not missing much with only 2 penalties being called as of right now.
Think the potential weather was a factor in the crowd as well. Only averaging 2,800 per game.
It has not been the most intense game I've seen this season, that's for sure. It looks like the last game before Christmas break when everybody is just looking to get away.
I would have expected the K's to really take it to them but it appears they a struggling against a team on paper is not as well rounded as the Komets...That is as an assumption from me reading the box score.
I'd say that's fair.
Blake, I believe your article about the goaltenders was spot on. Reichard just went to the shoot out and got schooled. A good goalie would have won that game for the K's. All he had to do was stop one shooter.
5 goals on 7 attempts in the shootout. Twice a stop wins and their goalie gets injured bring in a cold goalie whose record was 0-4 and 0-2 in shootouts. All I can say is WOW.
Reichard is a CHL goalie at best. He plays on his knees all the time, why not shoot high.
Also time to find new players for the 3rd line that can score goals. King and Mag has to go.
Schrock and his measly 3 points and -9 can go too.
might be time to let "Jerry Jones" go also. This is big boy minor league hockey. Good 2 way players don't care about our "big barn", they want to go to a spot that will allow them to move up.
most of the players at this level are not looking for a place to raise a family, they want a shot @ the AHL so they can have a shot @ the Show.
we need to sell our ACTIVE communication with former Komets: Bruce B, R Laird, B Essensa....etc without a link to a NHL team, this is the only way for us to be a contender in this league
just my view from behind the goal.....
