Royals pick up a player

From a Reading Royals press release:

The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced the forward Dustin Gazley has been loaned from the Bears to the Royals.

Gazley (5/9/179) (25), a third year pro from Novi, Michigan, began the season with Reading and picked up eighteen points (8g-10a) and twenty-two penalty minutes in twenty-five games with the Royals. Gazley was recalled to Hershey on December 30, 2013, and remained with the Bears through the completion of the AHL regular season. While in Hershey, Gazley scored eight goals and assisted on seven other (fifteen points) in forty-two games. Gazley, who led the ECHL in scoring and was named the league’s Rookie of the Year in 2012, is the twenty-third and final player named to the Royals’ Playoff Roster.

Sounds like a pretty solid pickup for them. Hopefully he has a lack of team chemistry from his time away. Reading might have this guy as an ace under their sleeve but let's not forget we haven't played ours yet in Dean. Sure skill wise they may be a difference but it isn't about who you have on your team it's about who on your team shows up. Szyd is a perfect example of that.
